Who knew that I needed 12 1988 Donruss Rack Packs with Roberto Alomar showing on top, until I saw the listing. They'll probably never be worth much more than I paid (if they were worth that!), but still a fun lot.

Same seller had these, which is why I saw the Alomar lot. Nalley Potato Chip boxes from 1980 and Largent from 1984. Not easy to find these days, even locally. Oversized oddball isn't always popular or easy to move. I try to wait out higher listings when they do show up and hopefully find bargain deals.

Finally a Chris Mullin auto /75. I like this design, so I have tried to pick up a few players.

Only one, but it’s a pretty nice one. Can’t believe this is 35 years old already.

Once valued at $85+ raw in old Beckett magazines, bought this for $20 delivered.

HOFer + 1st release of a premium brand = iconic card.

To complement the recent Seahawks oddball/obscure, I got a lot of Mariners Team Issue PC from 1982. They arrived in a vintage Mariners envelope with postage, addressed to someone with the Chargers. No street address, just San Diego Chargers! If these were actually mailed in that envelope, then maybe there was some team postcard trading going on perhaps?

These postcards were issued across about a decade or so and are not all that easy to find either. A few singles here and there. Rarely a large lot like this at once.

2009 Upper Deck Philadelphia.

i really like. this set design. It makes me think 1964 Topps baseball a little. I picked up Jared Allen ahead of his HOF election and now have added fellow HOFer Patrick Willis. It's a 58 card autograph set. There aren't that many left in the set that I would want and that would be considered affordable. Would love Adrian Peterson, but probably cost more than I would want to spend, as the 2nd and only other Viking in the set. No Raiders. I think if I could get Seahawks Walter Jones next, I would be happy with my 3.

That is nice. I don't have competition like that for the most part, although one Garvey collector who doesn't do much in the way of non-card items will send me tips on oddball stuff he sees. I have direct and fierce competition for anything new and especially if it's a 6/***. So much so that I have pretty much stopped expecting to win any of them.
