* The Phillies get Roy Halladay, Phillippe Aumont, Tyson Gillies, Juan Ramirez, and $6MM. The Phillies will give Halladay a three-year extension plus vesting options.
* The Mariners get Cliff Lee.
* The Blue Jays get Kyle Drabek, Brett Wallace, and Travis d'Arnaud.
* The A's get Michael Taylor.

The deal is final. News conferences are being planned as we speak.

I personally don't understand the Phillies' reasoning here, but I also don't see where any club completely screwed themselves.

That's been the deal for two days. What happened to the physical exam failure?

I know, but it hasn't been final for 2 days. The physical exam failure was nothing but a rumor.

Thankfully it's all over.

Sly- You said Ramirez is the number 2 pitching prospect for you guys, who's number 1?

so the A's just traded Wallace for Michael Taylor basically? why would they do that? They should have just stayed out of the deal.

All of the Mariners prospects are going to the Phillies. All of the Phillies prospects are going to the Blue Jays. Taylor is then being traded to the A's for Wallace.

i also thought Aumont was part of the package being shipped to the Blue Jays?

Doesn't look like it. Blue Jays may have not gotten equal talent compared to Halladay but they got a lot for essentially 1 year of Roy

According to Rosenthal there was a concern over Wallace's shoulder, but the MRI checked out and everything progressed. I just don't see why the ability to trade Taylor to the A's was preventing the rest of the trade from progressing.

Everything I've been reading out here has said that Aumont and Ramirez are (were) the #1 and #2 pitching prospects in the M's organization.
