Heyward blues were much higher than that. A raw just sold for $315.

So, I guess the Trout Blue has some room to grow from the current price...

A Justin Upton blue just sold for $180 and change a few days ago. Do folks really believe that Trout is better than Upton (or is a better investment than Upton, anyway)? I don't get that at all.

Upton is old news in the prospecting world. It's sad to say but he doesn't garner the same excitement as Trout and other young phenoms because he's been in the league for a few years already and has really nothing to show for it. While Trout is a fresh face and people are expecting big things from him and are excited for him to make it to the bigs.

Also, Upton has other RC Logo autos that many perceive as his TRUE RC Auto...so that hurts his BC auto prices. IMO, Upton is dead wood unless he does something extraordinary (which I highly doubt will happen anytime soon).

This is silly to say Upton has nothing to show for his time in the majors. He slugged .530 with an OPS of .899 at age 21/22. He was down from that last year, but still very young. To call him dead wood, and assume his best year(s) are behind him is ridiculous.

Blah, blah, blah...

I totally understand what you are saying stats-wise...it's nice. BUT, in the prospeting world, he has to do something TREMENDOUS for him to regain the prices he once had for his BC autos...IMO. Like I said he's old news...Upton, Kershaw, etc. all old news.

Bring on the new crop!
