Here's hoping that Folty's last start against Taillon is just a taste of things to come. Maybe Biddle can experience the same results against Taillon tonight.

Guess you really can't expect miracles out of an 18 year old right out of high school in A ball, but I figured Taillon would be pitching a little better at this point given his stuff. At least striking out more guys if anything. It should be interesting.

I didnt even know Teheran got sent back to the minros AGAIN. Cant they let the kid pitch back to back outings in the majors?

No, he hasn't been needed for back to back outings. Also, he hasn't exactly pitched great in his two starts either.

hmmm strange with Taillon almost pitching like Porcello did in high A a few years ago, gotta be a bit concerned with the K-Rate. If he doesn't strikeout guys, he'll go down as another Pirates bust.

Not to knock your fantastic analysis or anything, but I don't really see a K rate problem when a guy strikes out 20 batters in 24 innings to start his professional career. Looking at the preliminary indicators, he has started out fine to me.

Yep you are right.
May 24th.
Should be a good one.[/quote:2yll9hq5]
So I was reading an update that Machado is working out without pain at the spring training complex. So I don't see why he shouldn't be back any day now.

It'll be nice to see the real Sally League star play again.
