What's up all. Just watched Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. I didn't rush out to watch either of the movies right away, but I was surprised at how entertaining both are. Looking forward to the 3rd.

So I was able to attend the Phillies Phestival to raise money for ALS for the 1st time in a couple of years. It was a blast as always. A ticket gets you admission and 2 random autograph tickets that you find out who they are the day of. I ended up buying 6 tickets for a total of 12 autos. I was hoping for an Utley (had a great picture to get signed), but the top people I got were Ryan Howard, Charlie Manuel, and Carlos Ruiz. There were a couple of other players I wanted to get like Ken Giles and Darin Ruf, but the event is only 2 hours, and I ran out of time. Here is what I got:

Ryan Howard on a 2015 Gypsy Queen

Charlie Manuel on a 2008 World Series Ball and a 4x6 postcard (SGA)

Carlos Ruiz on an 8x10 photo

Hitting Coach Steve Henderson (paired with Manuel) on an ALS program

Reliever Elvis Araujo (paired with Ruiz) on an ALS program

This guy just set the high ebay sale for base chrome Sxhwarber autos

Some ebay sellers are so impatient, and accept any offer close. When I list BinBo, I hold out for EXACTLY the price I ant. These have been going $70-$80. I knew what I wanted, coming in. This will increase Schwarber autos across ebay, and setting me up for listing my slabs.

Also bought 5 grab bags which are usually pretty good. Bought 2 while I was waiting in line for Howard and another 3 on my way out the door.

Bag 1: Halladay bobble and Hamels variant bobble (came with a SGA wool cap too)

Bag 2: Ryne Sandberg signed hat

Bag 3: Steve Henderson signed hat

Bag 4: Jerome Williams signed ball

Bag 5: Maikel Franco signed ball

As a big Trumbo supporter, I think him going to Seattle wins them the Division!

And gets "Goldie" about 300 Walks the rest of the year...:lol:

There was a bit of discussion in StL about going after Trumbo to play 1B with Adams likely out for the year.
