Plain and simple a sticker auto is NOT a cut auto and therefor should NOT have been inserted in a Cut product.

Well, if Sam says it isnt a cut..... I guess it cannot even be debated.

I appreciate your opinion, but lots of people have opinions and sometimes they arent the same....

Stickers are not cuts. If you want to pick sambanks out of the crowd then fine, but the over all consensus here is that putting stickers in your cut auto product isn't acceptable.

We all get it, you can't get some people to sign on card due to a variety of reasons or get cuts. There is nothing wrong with that and you generally have nice products.


Simple solution, do not include them in your "cut" products. :idea: Put those stickers of Brittany in your releases where people do not expect "cut autos"


Amazed that anyone would defend sticker autos in a "cut auto" release :!:

Any Leaf/BG thread you are so up his backside it's sickening.

I think Leaf is just about where the other companies are. Some good(ali), some great(football), some bad(cut, repackaged topps cards).

I like leaf and and I hope BG succeeds as that is in all of our best interests as a hobby; and I think he actually listens. But mistakes are made and stickers in a cut product are not, and can not be acceptable.

this was a rough thread to get through...

what i learned... was no matter how hard leaf tries there will always be threads complaining... because they know they can get a response on a public forum.

also rodman needs to wear less makeup or at least not wear makeup only on the front of his face... and his stacking skills aren't very good.

but seriously... kudos to leaf for participating in this thread. i hope you get a license for milb or mlb soon... cuz i'm tired of other companies not being involved in the community and not learning from their mistakes.

Probably would have been happy with how it was handled if it had been done through PM, which would have been the right way to do it. At least give him the opportunity to correct it before this 9 pages of awesomeness.

I should have PMd first and I already apologized personally for that. It's over now and settled.

If I did contribute to no more stickers in future cut products though, is that a bad thing? The majority of members on here agree with me in that stickers have no place in a cut product.

Rodman stacking skills are just fine. He is laying them out so they dry. You want them spread out.

I believe the stacking is in reference to the application of makeup. I didn't notice, but look how light his face is in comparison to his neck. I think that's what stacking means... :?:

It's easy for the company that produces the product to come and define what determines a cut - especially when they can be vague to their advantage.

Definition of a cut a stretch? No, a cut is an autograph that would have been otherwise unobtainable save for being salvaged from another signed item. Taking leftover stickers does not qualify as salvaging the signatures.

So when they take a perfectly fine autographed baseball card of a living person and cut that up and put the auto into a card... that's not a cut?

How come you guys weren't pissed for 10 years while UD put these non-cut cards into their cut product? Just curious...


It seems like everybody has their own definition of what a cut is, and no company meets all of the qualifacations.

If you go out and buy a car and you are not satisfied, is the answer to run to an automotive board and ask the car maker to respond or do you actually go back to the dealer and speak to them. If at that point the answer isnt good enough, go at it.
