Rosen is honest about what a person has

This is 100% *censor* and I have seen it in person to know it is a fact that he is NOT always honest with people, especially older folks.

He is honest than most at shows and has a good reason to be honest. People will take 10% of what they can get at auction from him, That dashing smile and glimmering bald head of his are hypnotic. I have watched other dealers buy sets from people after they admit to stealing it from there grandfather. Watched them tell them its not an actual auto on a card but a printed one. In the internet age and the vast amount of info out there, You take the pesos on the dollar her offers. You deserve to be raked over the coals.

I watched this "honest guy" tell a couple in their early 70's that their 52 and 56 Topps that were near mint were "commons but in good condition for being old cards" and offered them about 300.00 for about 10k in cards. One of the guys with me stepped in and called him out on his **** and blew up his spot. He called the guy a punk and stormed off with his money. Later he tried to do the same thing at the SAME EVENT to a kid that looked all of 16 that had a collection that probably belonged to his grandfather. Rosen tried to tell him the cards were in good shape but didnt have much value, though he would "take them off his hands" if he wanted to sell. All i recall was a playball Ted Williams and a 48 Bowman Robinson. the cards must have been valued at 7-10k and he told the kid maybe 600.00 and offered him 200 for them. The kid knew he was full of **** and told him to screw off. Hard to tell how many others he tried to do the same thing to at that show and at any other show.

I doubt both stories honestly. If the elderly couple went to a card show, They had basic knowledge for just searching for a card show. They would of shopped them to every dealer possible like the kid and most likely would end up on ebay or in another dealers case.

I'll never forget what he said to David Hall in '94
- "How about $500 and all you can steal?"

He should call himself Mr. Near Mint. Because that's the grade of most of his "mint" cards

Were any of the videos posted where he drops the Braves gamer in a bucket with oil in it?

Doubt it all you want. I was present for both instances that both occurred within 90 minutes of each other. The show was in Tennessee and was advertised on street signs and posters for people to bring in their "unwanted baseball cards and sports items." This was in the dawn of ebay, so it wasnt as prevalent as it is now. Long and short of it is that he's a shitbag.

I know what he is, just having fun tonight watching people get all upset about someone sticking up for him. Like I said, You are dumb enough to take his low ball offers with all the info avail. You deserve what he does to you and no pity from me. This hobby only pays when you become dishonest, Honesty gets dirty looks from other dealers at shows.

Mr.Mint bought a 1955 braves game used jersey, threw it on the floor after saying give you a thousand for it, ended up being oil on the floor where he threw it.

My Uncle isn't that bad of a guy.

if you're being honest, that explains a ton ;)

And your relatives would of have been failures of military testing going wrong, to explain a ton about you.

This attempt at an insult would've been more effective if you hadn't typed "would of have been". ::facepalm::

Is Mr. Near Mint an actual collector or does he just use the hobby as a hustle? I've heard that Keith Olberman has a vert nice collection too.. anyone know what he collects exactly?

I'm not a fan of the guy. But, you can't deny, he has a knack for making money....whether you like the style or not.

However, with all the cash he throws around, I would question he tax returns. :D
