Still going to need 2 posts to get it all. starting it off with 3 Leaf Garvey autos. first one is a 1/1, then a /4, finally a /5. I still collect some, obviously when I get them at a decent price, but this is literally ruining player collecting. Enough is enough!

This Topps Garvey is /5

Then we have /50. Probably a dupe, but missing so many these days, i have a hard time keeping track. i don't maintain a wantlist any longer for new issues.

Piazza /6. I liked the background color, even w/o logos. Any fairly cheap for a Piazza.

Snider /25. He is still often quite a bargain. Signed a ton of stuff, but one of the greats all the same.

This may be a new certified player I didn't already have, Bobby Valentine. Dodgers and /20.

A couple cheap certified commons, Hu and O. Perez. Don't think I had either.

A couple Star-Cal packs, including the Giants with the Dodgers because of The Barber, Sal Maglie.

Today is 2 Dodgers featured in other uniforms, Loutos checks one off the want list as well. A rare occurrence these days.

I snuck in a nicely priced jersey match auto 6/10. Was surprised when i won it and at such a low price. My competition was asleep for this one thankfully.

A nice older signed photo. Guessing probably 75-76 time frame.

Bobby Miller Big League Auto. I like this issue. it's fun.

Finally a nice vintage 3x5 signed by a handful of Brooklyn Dodgers. Shuba, Barney, Snider, Palica, Banta, Podbeilan & Reese. Palica and Podbielan both died in 1982 and are slightly tougher common Dodger signatures from the era.

Been pretty busy with work and the World Series starting right as my work day ends, so catching up a little here. This series has either been great watching or disgusting (when the dodgers have lost, it's been ugly). I hope game 7 is a great one.

First off is an item I apparently almost lost out on. If you had not heard Probstein has left ebay and is starting his own auction site. Apparently his last round of auctions had to be paid for by a specific date (this was not advertised anywhere that I am aware) or they just cancelled the listing. If you paid by the cut-off, they shipped. I will often wait when I win cards from consigners, as i end up winning another one right after i pay. I don't buy a ton from Probstein, so I waited. turns out, I just matter of fact paid on the cut off day. Had i not, I would not have been mad, as I overpaid for this item, but glad I have it now.

I am 99% sure that this bat knob is from the same bat that I called Leaf out on before. There was a "Salute to The gar" night and there were something like 1000 black bats commemorating the event. They are black with gold engraved letters. This was not a game used bat, so unless leaf tries to say that Garvey swung one of these in an old timers game, they are selling us a line of complete BS. However, this should not come as a surprise to anyone, so I wanted it more for the novelty. In this case, this is one of those 1/1 bat knob cards that would normally be a very fantastic memento, IF THE BAT WAS ACTUALLY A GAMER. So, I can't prove that this was from a salute bat, but I don't recall ever seeing Garvey bats that were black.

Pair of Buehler autos that caught my eye and were affordable

A cut card that I wanted, however I hate to pay much for these because you are basically buying a 3x5 card. The card makers only "certify" the signatures like any other buyer would an old 3x5. However, since they made a card out of it and numbered it, it becomes a "certified" autograph, which is nice for old timers like Peter Reiser and Dolph Camilli, who were dead long before certified auto cards were a thing for most retired players. This is /15 and not even the best design, but still cool addition for me.

This checks off a need for the Dodger auto collection. Hye-Seong Kim. Wanted to get one as quickly as possible, because most asian players seem to become very hard to find and/or expensive later on.

A pair of Gagne autos from Leaf. I do like some of the more interesting color schemes they use, although a plain old baseball card photo is always more preferred by me. One is /10 and the other is /5.

The last couple i got this week that i have not posted yet. Phillips is /50. I already had Elias Medina, but I mistook him for Emil Morales, which I didn't have. You can probably kind of see how I could have made that mistake.

Finally scratched this off the list. Odd that it seems as the print run gets larger, so does the price???

I had easier time finding red autos from 60s sets much easier.

Garvey 75T Heritage Red 75.png

Only adding these unlicensed parallels and base cards when they are cheap. Too much garbage to pay licensed pricing for any of it.
Garvey Crusade.png

Kept losing out on this one and then I finally land one for only a buck? Of course, add in the $5 s/h + tax.

I won't pay much for these, but this will go with the American flag card /10 that I also won. This is /4

Kopech /50

Cody Ross. It's a Reds card, but he's clearly shown in a Dodger uniform, so it counts as a Dodger card in my collection.

This is one of those Historic Autographs cards. Some company stuck hologram stickers on TTM/IP cards and packed them out. I kind of consider these a hybrid "certified" card, but I wouldn't hold much weight in their ability to deem all of the cards they packed out as genuine, so trust the signature, not the hologram. This was $1, so no loss either way.
