Seeing the 05 UD Reflections box break on the break board made me realize that my biggest collecting regret was the day i gave up on this set and sold them all. Luckily i still have the scans saved in my bucket :(

What is your biggest regret? Collecting wise not prospecting because we all have a ton of those.

my biggest regret is quitting collecting in 1995 and not starting back until 2007.. as a player collector it was murder on my PC and tracking down cards from the mid to late 90's that were rare then is expensive and extensive now.

Selling off nearly-completed Heritage sets because I got sick of tracking down SP's... only to start completely over on them again.

Also, not getting back into collecting around 2006. I missed the first year of A&G, as well as a lot of Chad Greenway low #ed stuff I may never see again.

Mine is the 2005 Roger Maris Biography set from Prime Cuts IV (I believe it was IV). There were 61 bat cards for the 61 home runs he hit in 1961. The bat cards were not serial numbered, but print run was said to be 5, with the exceptions of 1 and 61 which were both stated to be a print run of between 3 or 4. I had 60 of the 61 bat cards. I could never find 26. My wife and I hit a financial bump and I ended up selling the set.

I wish I would have held onto it. I often think about trying to rebuild it, but I doubt I would be able to find them all again.

I have the philosophy on most cards that all it takes is time and money and any card can be had.

However on some cards the rarity and condition makes them very special. I regret 100% getting rid of 2 cards in my life. 1 was a PSA 8 1953 Satchel Paige and the other was a E95 Honus Wagner PSA 5. Both were top of the line for their grades and both doubled in prices since I sold them so that getting them back is almost out of the question.

Selling my Jesus Montero BGS 10 Bowman Chrome auto for $300 and selling my Aaron Rodgers Sp Authentic RC Auto/Jersey Redemption /99 when I pulled it for $400.

Montero is going for $450-550 now so not to bad, but the Rodgers depending upon how many colors the patch would have been and if it graded could have been insane. A one color patch raw goes for $1500-1800 now.

How many prospecting posts are here anyway :benson:

I'm fairly satisfied with my collection, but sometimes I regret that I spend too much!

I regret not buying an Aaron Rodgers Contenders auto when they were $380-400.

Selling off my T210's a few years ago. I remember telling myself that I shouldn't do it. That set haunted me until I started collecting it again earlier this year.

Always tell myself I will put away a little each month to fund a Ruth autograph. Well that never happens when I spend it on wax. Probably could have my Ruth and a nice Clemente if I didn't waste on wax so much.
