Sad that Strawberry is "junk" :(

I'm surprised I was able to pick it up so cheap. Guys like Hank Blalock and Jose Vidro were what I had in mind when I started the patch collection; thinly-collected players I could get dirt-cheap. Plenty of people collect Straw, and Dodgers patches, so it's the least junky of the junk patches I have so far.

I wasn't planning on buying any more cards this month, but these two cheap Baldelli patches were too good to pass up. Two nice PC patches, and the Wilson was only $2.

I have about 100 lower end hof/retired 2-3 color patches that I plan on making a custom set of auto patches out of. I picked up multiple Winfield, Molitor, B Robby, Yount, Dawson, etc for 7-10 each and I have alot of Matt Williams, Gary Matthews, Luis Tiant, Luis Gonzalez, Mark Grace, Dave Cone, etc that I paid 3-5 each for.

Some really nice non-junk patches, courtesy of a 25% off Auto-Accept on COMC:

And this Rocco from a new Baldelli-heavy seller:

Some more cool patches, two that I have had my eye on for a long time (I love COMC dealer sales!):

I don't collect Wells, but that was an awesome patch for $2!

Thanks! No Juan patches though, all the serious collectors must be snapping those up!

I've also been grabbing any buttonhole cards I can find; to me, those are rarer than even a sick patch. You're only gonna get a handful of buttonholes from a jersey, maybe 6 or 8, max. I always find it strange that the button cards will be numbered /6 or /7, and command big bucks, while the actual buttonholes aren't considered anything special.

A sweet new non-junk patch pickup on COMC tonight:

And this a few nights ago (couldn't tell it was a patch at first, a small piece is still a patch piece in my book!):

Not gonna top the Thorpe, but still a sweet sweet patch:

This one should be in hand in a week or so, a combo of two of my new favorite things: patches and buybacks:

Here are some of my patches. I agree with whoever said Mets and Mariners make best patches. Love the silver glitter from Mariners and glacier twill from Mets.

Thanks. I know others are out there. I stay away from expensive ones or ones I know or suspect of being fake. I know what the jerseys and patches that Rickey wore look like, so that really helps.
