Need some advice on a legal issue regarding scams paypal etc

Ok well a guy on here scammed me and a few others for 1,000+ in paypal. I am a little disappointed to be honest. This guy had been a problem trader on here before but there is no way for anyone else to know this. I suggest that to maintain this as the best trade and info site on the internet ( and my personal fave, do not mean to bash but this is a fair criticism) that their be more visible signs and rules to trading. Enough of that, I love this site and do not want to bad-mouth it because I got ripped off which is an inherent risk online.

The real issue. I want to get this scumbag. I have all his information. I am gathering all the evidence I can from the others who were scammed on here in an effort to present a clear and strong case for a relatively substantial amount of money. my question is how do I pursue prosecution? Is there some sort of online body dedicated to internet fraud you would suggest? is it best too contact his local authorities? I just want to do this as quickly and effectively as possible so as to clean the bad taste out of my and some other outstanding baord members mouths?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Roll--Yes I really think that this is the best course for you guys. My dad is a former law enforcement officer and he has been involved with the investigative units that look into this type of situation. They will get the information and if you stay in touch with them, you will see results. They won't send out the SWAT team to the guys house , but they will look into it and see that some sort of solution is seen.

After spending the last 5+ hours getting ready for a few IEP/Special ED meetings I have tomorrow morning, I am seriously laughing aloud at this Miguel Cabrera cowboy. First he wants to break some knee caps and then he makes phone calls even after others are begging him to do the complete oppposite


Simply entertaining (not in a good way but he actually had me giggling due to his foolishness)

"phxsunsfan", a board member agreed to sell the Jackie Robinson Prime Cuts Game Used Four Pieces Jacket to me, he posted on box break section as well... in case someone didn't know him, he was the one who did a special proposal to his wife from UD Ultimate box break..

I sent him a PM about 4 weeks ago regarding the shipment, but he never replied. I just won the dispute through Paypal ($70), unfortunately, Paypal wouldn't be able to recover me anything from his account. So if anyone has his contact info, please PM me, thanks a lot.

I was involved in a situation like this several years ago. There were about 50 people who had been scammed. We had one spokesman who was the closest to where the person lived. He gave the police all of the information and then each of us was contacted by a detective. The police ended up going to his house and found him printing money on his copy machine. He did go to jail for 5 years, but we never saw any of our money. I felt it was worth it.

He should have been banned then. Or at least not allowed to remain as a trader with no warning only to scam us for 1000s

whoever is going to call, the police department should have a non-emergency phone number, i would suggest calling that, then relaying a list/information to them
