I was not loving the non-licensed card, so i grabbed another Vlad jr auto. i still want the Heritage 71 design with the trophy the most, but will settle for this one.

Thios was a fantastic concept, talking baseball cards. Early versions were essentially small records, but then they put the speaker and electronics inside the card. Too bad the genius that designed this didn't think about replacing the batteries. You might be able to do it, but it would take a steady hand of someone familiar with small electronics.

I picked these 2 up for $2 each, because, why not!? Same card, seller had 2 lft. It's Ripken HOME RUN. audio no longer works, but the blast can still be watched on the lenticular card surface.

A very rare non-sports purchase for me. The Simpsons Skybox set from 1994 was a great issue, decent quality with some very cool and creative inserts. I bought several boxes of this when it was new. Wish I had bought more. Never finished most of the insert sets because they were popular, espensive and nobody had more than a couple, so shipping was a factor.

I sent away for the decoder card in series ii, which was a mail-in only I believe. I think this one was series I and maybe only available in a similar way, but don't recall. I may even have it already, but stumbled across it and grabbed the cheapest one on ebay that was complete and unpunched. The idea was to punch out the area in the middle and then you could read codes or messages on some of the other cards. If I recall, they were not overly exciting and the unused decoder cards may just be best kept unused.

Only a hardcore Sweet Spot guy would get this excited over this card, but here I am. McCovey/Jack Clark dual. Clark never signed Sweet Spot except for these duals with Willie. And this one has ZERO fade. Every once in a while you see an '07 Dual that isn't faded for whatever reason. And I'm very happy to have this one.

Couple of fun pickups from a show yesterday.

Unless some new cards have been issued in recent products I think this one finishes up my autographed run of The Chicken. Ted is a great TTM signer and that auto is top rate. Pretty sad when a mascot cares more about his auto than most players these days.

Can't be a post from me without a couple oddballs as well

I finally completed the duo. Many years ago I was at a card show and happened upon one dealer had both the Action Packed POY Diamond and the Gold versions for $20 each. At the time, that was probably the average going rate for his signed minor league cards. I don't think that was a ton of buzz at the time and $20 was probably not the screaming deal that it sounds like today, but don't remember what year it was. I only bought one, the Diamond, and regretted it for many years. It probably took 15+ years to finally land the gold to go with it. It was more than $20, but maybe not as much as you might expect, esp for Jeter.

Also grabbed another one of these reggie millers, this one is easier to see the signature. These were part of a mEMBERS only set that was sent separately, apparently, from one letter a seller shared. Miller autos are oddly expensive, but these are very much reasonable comparatively.

More Hostess, 16 panels, all 76. Just showing one because that is all I snipped.

I do like oddball and cheap card. This fit both. A Cy Young Tuff Stuff phone card. paid a buck.

Took a chance on this. Not sure why, but suddenly I wanted Howard Cosell autograph. His signature was very simple and probably easily forged, although probably not it super high demand. This had a bit less flair than some signatures i saw. It was cheap, so I rolled the dice. 8x10 B&W. I hear his voice in my head every time he comes up in my brain, as is probably the case with anyone who heard him broadcasting.

I took a gamble, as the blue versions tend to be harder to find and more than the plentiful red versions. I will attempt to remove it from the hat it is sewn onto.

Fun cheap redemption card. The set you got was absolutely horrible and lacked anyone who went on to any significant career.

Maybe one of the coolest card designs ever made. This was a main-in only, wrapper deal if I recall. Skybox had a Meltdown set that year, but these (Hill and Jerry Stackhouse) were lenticular and when you moved the card, the wall behind the player appeared to melt before your eyes. Seller captured the design pretty well with 2 different shots. if you have not seen these cards in person, you are missing out.

This one kind of deserves it's own showcasing. Dual sided Hail Mary Cowboys auto card /1000 when that was a low print run. Staubach/Pearson. I assume color added is for a border/edge. It does not appear the signatures are altered to me. Really didn't see any obvious edge or surface issues either, but maybe I need a microscope to see it? I actually don't care and it kept the price relatively low considering. A bit more impressive in person, but it is a very dark card due to the background.

Put away the COMC package today. A mixture of Dodger autographs, Garvey items, oddball and cards that I wanted for sets or just because they caught my eye. I think it was 128 cards. Nothing amazing, but a solid group of stuff that fits in my collection.

I got a set of all the player cards minus the Bo Jackson for a pretty reasonable price. 1988 Ace. Missing most of the non-player cards as well, but I don't really care about those anyway.

Another one of the old school redemption cards. this is for the B. Lacher Sky Motion card. Love it when I can pair the redemption card with the prize card. This one came all the way from Sweden too!

Finally found a good sized lot of these at a decent price. Would like to make the 2 primary sets with pro players. There are some misc sports, racing, etc that I have no interest in. 15 different, 31 total. I recall getting one as a kid, with the red, white & blue background and just thinking that was the coolest little card ever. I think it was Merlin Olsen.
