Love this design. Old School /49 Kelly Tripucka. He was a 2X AS, so not a complete common, but it had to be cheap.

I completed the redemption card set when they were new, now I think I will try to finished the unredeemed card set too. Only 13 cards. Have the Kobe, so the hardest piece is done hopefully.

An assorted lot that had 2 Garvey, but seemed more appropriate in this thread
Auto lot 7 - Canada.png

Spahn, also from a small auto lot that was mostly otherwise meh, especially since the seller didn't send one item that was shown in photos, but not described. Even had a base Garvey, which is how i found the lot.

Timeless teams double of a couple solid players, a little shy of greatness.

Kyle Busch completes this set for me, I believe. These were available with kellogg's products. Unsure if you could get them outright, as some food giveaways could be obtained. Only reason I bought it, as I don't collect Racing stuff.

Still knocking out Hostess panels, although most of these are probably dupes and that is only about half of what I ended up winning..

2007 Topps Pepsi Randy Johnson -- Traded back to Arizona in January 2007. He is not included in the series I set, team set (17 cards) or Yankees gift set (55 cards). This is the lone flagship design with him as a Yankee. Issued by Pepsi, this a has prefix on the numbering P-*** and red font on the back (normally white). All other Pepsi Yankee cards are similar to the flagship set, except for this notable exception. Not a valuable card, but an exciting discovery and in my opinion his nicest looking Yankee Topps release. 2005 is spring training, 2006 is road jersey, this is a nice closely cropped photo in a pinstriped jersey with a facsimile autograph.

Pretty nice mail day. I was a little nervous to free this ryan from a massive case that was apparently sealed by Signature rookies? It came out fine. From what I have heard, these screwdowns have flattened cards slightly in the past that rendered them only authentic when graded, but i am not worried about that. I don't send cards for grading.

This is the flip card with son Reid on back (not auto'd). Looks like maybe 1000 signed copies, according to the redemption card also included.

Alomar /40 buyback. I especially like Padre Alomars, as I was coming off being a padre fan as the brothers were coming up with a youthful team after the 84 WS loss.

Picked up a Roki auto for the Japanese PC

I am jealous of that! I can't pay what they (any of his autos) are going for. I just have to hope the quantity continues to grow and the prices come way down. Congrats.

Yamamoto is the same deal. Ohtani is just a flat out no way ever, sadly.

Waited somewhat impatiently for an affordable copy to pop up. I missed one, but this was a BO/BIN. His certified cards are cheaper than what this card is listed for most cases. Love the old school action photo cards for signatures, despite the printed facsimile autos on 77s.
Dobson 77T Au.png

Would have normally shown Mitchell in the Dodger thread, but was lazy and just grouped the photo. Mike Scott action on a Fleer design I have always really liked and Ken Clay, who used to be somewhat elusive. He signs through Past Pros now, or at least he did, so now he is a sure thing if you pay the fee. Always pick up interested singed 78s when the price is right. A dream would be have that entire set signed, my first collecting year.

Added a cheaper Wagner, before but wanted a Seahawk version and this card became my target. Had to wait for one to come at auction, since the BINs are all way too much.

I do like the oddball subjects, but not so much that I'd pay a bundle for most. She was the first female GM of a MLB club. This could be considered a notable card for that reason.

Ace parker. i caught this with my Dodgers search, as there was once a football team called the Brooklyn Dodgers. Imagine that! i collect football autos too and this was a nice surprise find.

A blog turned me on to this set. I would like to find the dodger version, so i have a new ebay search set up. I have parts of the team set from singles. Figured i'd add to my Frank Thomas collection, although that is mostly dormant these days.

Going to reference back to this post, because the lot in which I won the Spahn had an extra item that was shown in pictures, but not described. After the lot arrived and the extra item was not included, i asked the seller why. They apologized and said they would sent it out. it arrived today and i'll wrap up the post with the reveal.

Leading off is a signed All-Rookie trophy card. Not chasing them heavily anymore, but still pick one or two up when I see them and they are priced right. i especially like the certified ones. Takes out the doubt. This is a terrible Topps design to read names off the cards, especially for aging folks who now need glasses to see details. This is Ryan Mountcastle.
Mountcastle Trophy.png

Red Holzman AP Auto. I don't think this one is especially tough, but I see it a lot less than many of the others, so I grabbed a dupe.
Holzman AP Au.png

Waited a long time for this one. Thought it might be lost. Hate the waiting game that is USPS these days. A nice "action" card from a time when most were portraits/head shots.

Tinglehoff 66Philly.png

And the big reveal.

The autograph didn't catch my eye initially the way Spahn did, but when I saw the ACE Hardware cover, I knew instantly that it was John Madden, former Oakland Raiders coach! Madden was an ACE Spokesman for a while back in the day and I suspect this was probably from a personal appearance at one of the stores. It's like a greeting card, but has a cutout for a photo, likely for a polaroid. The photo is missing and it just left a "mystery" signature. Happy to add this to the collection. I have a card signed, but I trust this one a little more than the card, simply because why fake this, especially when you are not mentioning it in the listing. it was basically a toss in, but I did big accordingly, assuming others may recognize the signature as I had.
