One of those interesting adds to the auto collection.

Tyler O'Neill was not on my radar for an autograph, but I half heartedly watched an episode or two of the Netflix Red Sox show (before giving up as I realized I just didn't care that much for the Red Sox) and heard some fuss about him and his opening day exploits. I looked him up and he has hit a home run in 6 consecutive opening day games, the last 3 with 3 different clubs. The previous record was a 4 way tie between Yogi Berra, Gary Carter and Todd Hundley. 3 catchers! That is just one of those crazy stats that makes stats so interesting.

I had no clue, I guess I had never heard or read anything about it over the last 6 seasons. He hopes to extend to 7 this season.

i wanted something cheap, but interesting. I had bid on and lost out on a Bowman inception with the Mariners, then looked and found one cheaper as a bin! Then I offered on the BL and it was accepted, same day. Both also arrived today.

I have never seen a Spahn like that. It's sad to see some of the end of life signatures that the players were still being asked for or offering. Great that they were accommodating, but still sad reminder of the end.

The Jackson redemption seems easy. I don't remember if I have any others, but Clemens popped up and needed to have it. Mays, Mondesi and Frank Robby are the other 3 from the set. I completed the actual signed set years back and am always on the look out for the unused redemptions too.

I have never seen a Spahn like that. It's sad to see some of the end of life signatures that the players were still being asked for or offering. Great that they were accommodating, but still sad reminder of the end.

Yeah, that whole years donruss looks terrible mostly. This and the Musial from panini/leaf at the end kinda infuriate me a little. Sad

I can't stand the late life sigs but I'm working on the set.

That one's still decent! Its the late 2000's to early 10's stuff that is atrocious

Nice one in today. First d’Arnaud I’ve ever seen hit eBay (that I remember at least).
Was always just content with getting the /99 autos and auto/relics for the World Series year, but I’m now down to only missing 3 of the /10 ball relics and I guess that’s my chase now.

Mostly a FB day, but start off with one I won a while back and it was lost in the mail. Tried again and this one made it. Topps 582 Montgomery. i like this issue and will add autos of anyone with any level of decent careers at the right price. there are a lot of commons I have no interest in and a few stars i will never afford/pay for, but have a decent collection of middle ground guys.


I had Smith, but on an uncut sheet. Although cool, I wanted one on a stand along card. This fit the bill. His autos are spendy, but this was a decent deal and i like the older, off brand stuff anyway.

This design caught my eye, although I would have been just as happy without the prism, colored background. Alan Page, Purple People Eater fame. Signature getting bad, never a good sign.




This was a nice discovery for the Raider collection. Billy Cannon. Died in 2018. As much as i enjoyed chasing Steve garvey cards for many years and owning nearly ever card ever made, I miss that I was not adding guys like this when they were still alive. Variety can be amazing and I have seen that more so in the last 5 years or so after finally letting go of the must have it all mentality. Wish I would have done it sooner!

Yeah. It isn't terrible but it definitely isn't Stan's usual standard for autos.

It certainly isn't as bad as this one.
