New Scanner... What do you guys think?

Just got it for $30 on Craigslist. Not the best scanner out there but A lot better than my old scanner. And for $30 you can't go wrong. It's a Canoscan 8400F.

I understand the scanner needs to be cleaned, I just started scanning right when I got home lol

I don't like how you can't see the Xfractor-ness of the card

With these I didn't close the lid just to see if it scanned better (it didn't)

But still pretty nice

Anything that you don't like how it looks try rotating it on the scanner.

Can also try ever so slightly propping up one side of the slab.

Looks great to me. Way better than my piece could do. I wouldn't even try to scan a slab and my blues always look black

Lid up made them look blurry to me

Try some construction paper, thats what i do (i have a CannoScan 4400f)
