As you already know from my screen name and posts in this thread, I am a huge Xavier fan. This game was absolutely incredible. I also have to agree with gt2590, this was definitely the game of the Tournament. In my opinion, this has been the best Tournament in awhile. So many great games, upsets, buzzer beaters, overtimes, the list goes on and on. I have had a blast watching it from the first game until watching my Muskies lose in 2OT tonight.

I could go on forever about Holloway and Crawford, but Clemente came up HUGE for Kansas State. With so many of his teammates in foul trouble (including Pullen), he stepped up big from the 2nd Half on. I was very impressed with how he played. Obviously I was hoping he would have missed some more of those shots, but he played an incredible game. That's not trying to take anything away from Pullen at all. The 3s that Pullen hit in the 2nd OT were the daggers.

To me, the shot of the night was Jordan Crawford's 3 at the end of the 1st OT. He's such a special player. I hope he decides to stay at Xavier for another season or two and not enter the Draft.

It's hard to be upset after a loss like that. Both teams played with heart and left everything they had out on the court. I would have much rather been on the other end of the score, but the game was phenomenal. Best of game of the Tournament and definitely a candidate for best game of the year.

Maybe I'm just being naive, but I think both Holloway and Crawford will come back, and raise their draft stock at the same time. I haven't seen them projected very high, but I'm sure shooting and quickness off the dribble have caught some scouts' attention.

It is a very poor draft for guards though, so that might cause them to come out early due to increased demand for scorers in the backcourt.

Kudos to Bulter! As an Indiana native, I wish Hummel hadn't gotten hurt for Purdue, but...

Now that I am in Texas, I am interested to see how well Baylor does.

I still think Kentucky wins it all.

I'd like the person who let me have it when I said Tyler Smith was the worst thing going for Tennessee last year to come into this thread. After the big orange Pearl kicked Smith off the team, UT makes it all the way to the elite 8. Imagine that.

Jay Bilas said in the preseason that Tyler Smith was going to win the SEC player of the year. LMAO!!! He hasn't watched a damn Tennesse game. Tyler Smith is the most out of control, wild, fill in the blank player in college basektball. The phrase under control does not register with Tyler Smith. Not knocking the Vols but he hurts you guys in so many ways. Your bigs are what keep you in the game.

Unfortunately, I missed the OSU-UT game, but it sounds like Turner's teammates, especially the sharp-shooters let him down tonite. I think UT has more than proven they were seeded way too low.

Tonight should be another tough game from my KSU Wildcats Butler is one of the hottest teams in the tourny right now and I just hope our guys are rested up for the game today. Hopefully KSU can beat down Butlers tough transition defense.

I knew my Dogs were gonna beat K-State when all 3 ESPN and 3 CBS studio analysts picked against them (again).

And on the nitecap, I strongly dislike BOTH coaches, but I was rooting for the WV players a little more. It looks pretty likely all 4 Final Four teams will be teams of guys who stuck around for 3 or 4 years, not just one and done guys like Kentucky (and the Memphis team that lost to Kansas in '08). Good to see...

Now if Gus Johnson would just get the Final Four announcing gig...

And +1 to Gus Johnson. Dude is AWESOME!

The last 4 minutes of this game is why everyone hates Duke. Absolutely atrocious officiating, and then Scheyer's attempt to throw an elbow leads to a tech on Baylor. Unreal.

Everyone hates Duke because they just know that Duke is better than them and that Coach K is the second best college coach ever. Duke, Notre Dame, and the Yankees. They are all polarizing teams and historically great teams. Jealousy is a horrible thing.

Coupla should haves:

In Mid-January, Michigan State was down to 20-1 to win Title, I thought about it, and didn't. ::facepalm::

Butler was 12-1 to make the Final Four after the brackets were released. I liked them alot, picked them in almost all my brackets, but didn't put coin on it. ::facepalm::

Why is it I always remember the "missed" bets and bad losses much better than the wins?

Agreed. Why is it we always "shoulda known" that Mich State would make the final four. I had State beating Kansas in the sweet 16 but couldn't pick them any further. I didn't think butler would make the 16 they certainly proved me wrong.
This is why March Madness is the best thing ever. Can you imagine a football playoff? It would blow this out of the water.

C'mon Butler, Four more Minutes!!

It's amazing how far they've got without one real good shooting game...
