Gotta be kidding on this one

[ebay:18tk0xtp]110398453327[/ebay:18tk0xtp]

[ebay:18tk0xtp]130307418665[/ebay:18tk0xtp]

2 weeks = more than 50% increase in price :?: :!:

At $70 something, I'll never get a copy :(

Well, UD customer service said they would not replace this card (had no intention of getting it replaced but, asked just in case they had a Cy Young Maddux/Cone dual) anyways, since Mr.Gwynn loves to come to Hawaii I'll hopefully be able to get him to sign it with a "2007 HOF" inscription during the winter league tournaments here........

Oh yeah.............."2007 HOF" would be my inscription of choice or ".338 lifetime BA" ;)

Sorry you didn't land your Dawson/Sandberg :( The good thing is that it's numbered to /175 so you still gots some chances.

Nice job snagging this one, Scott! An inscription under Gwynn's sig would look incredible. 8-)

...kudos as well Scott!! Glad you got this card. When it was brought up here I considered hitting the BIN but since (in reality and my mind) I already have this card I did not. Had a little remorse at not doing so when I saw that it was hit. Anyway, good luck with the set and the inscription.

I think "2007 HOF" would look kinda strange on a 2005 issued card, haha.

I'm pretty sure our resident master set collector hit the BIN, so he would consider it a GOOD pass :D

Yeah, I wasn't too broken up about it. I've already got the Williams numbers /26,
so I figure the Sandberg and Murray duals will be the last ones I get.

Then, once I'm finished with the set, the last thing to do will be to
pry the Williams Platinum out of Dave's cold, dead hands

Also wondering if anyone saw this sale? http://cgi.ebay.com/2005-Ultimate-Signa ... tsupported

When it got put up I offered $110, checked back next day and the BIN was hit. Did I make another bad pass? This was like a week ago.
I didn't get the #1/5, but I did get the #4/5 that was listed the same week. That one the seller ended it early for me. I paid the same amount $150. I do know who won the #1/5 and I'll let them know you were interested. I think 150 was a very good price for these cards. I think at auction it had the potential to go higher. Are you a Bagwell collector?

The platinum Numbers is out there still so there's still a chance of getting one of the platinums! (unless I beat you to it!

Thanks Charlie, Scott, and Dave ;) Hopefully I'll get the card inscribed but, it'll still be unique just the way it is.

Have a great day guys, gotta get ready to hit the grinding stone!

No way in hell I'd have Gwynn sign that card. To me the beauty of it is that he didn't sign it and makes it 1/1 very unique piece in this set. Having him sign it just makes it like any other one then. Even with an inscription, anybody could go and have a player add an inscription to these autos, but this is the only one I ever seen where one guy didn't sign it.

Ya know, now that you mention it, you do make an excellent point. I guess if I owned it I would have to think long and hard if I wanted to have Gwynn sign or leave as is.

My 1 card mailday all the way from Taiwan in 5 days flat!! :D :D :D
