correct me if i'm wrong, but they were inserted in Magazine packs, which were hard to find and they had some pretty tough odds.

Randomly inserted in magazine packs at the rate of one in 29, this 18-card set features baseball's best players pictured against their city's skyline and printed on clear plastic stock. The backs carry the same player portrait with information about the player and the city printed below.


1:29 doesn't seem that rare to me, but idk anything about the magazine packs.

These things always sell well. I have a Bags and will always be on the lookout for others if the price is right. Besides...where else can you find a card with downtown Houston on it? That was one of the most appealing things to me honestly. I used to love riding my bike down to White Oak bayou and looking at downtown. Odd thing is when I used to do plumbing...I actually worked on things in several of those buildings shown in that picture of downtown.

I actually got both for 10 cents each. And they really did have a bunch of of the Mariners, just no Griffey. Best was Jay Buhner. There weren't any other Randy Johnson's though.
