Seeing that Afficianado card makes me wonder....


Do any of you have a list of the hardest inserts cards from the 90s that you bring with you to shows?

Hmmmm... there have been several threads about starting a list, but it is too overwhelming I would think. Just going through this thread (and part1 and part 2) would be very time consuming, but you could make a pretty good list doing that!!!!

Here is my #5 most wanted in hand:
1996 Summit Artist's Proof. I had only seen two of these ever, which is why it moved so far up my list. I ended up getting two of them in one week.... :(

speaking of Gwynn.....i cant even tell you how many times i loaded up my eBay card with Gwynn PSAs, only to not pull the trigger. just too many

That's insane. I had the chance to get a Dean Palmer FPP on ebay for $5 but completely butchered it.

There's also a Molitor and Gwynn up for $80 and $130 BINs respectively, which going by that Sandberg are two incredible bargains.

I listed this 1999 Pacific Prism Red Juan Gonzalez on ebay today: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1999-Pacific-Pr ... 519b46b89b .

Nosterbor offered me $40 for it, so I added a Buy It Now to the listing. However, a different buyer hit the BIN before nosterbor could (sorry, man), and now a third guy has messaged me that he will pay $75 if I renege on the ebay transaction to sell it to him.

I am going to honor the ebay sale because I don't want to risk a negative feedback, and I am shocked this card would fetch even that much. I am curious, though, whether this is just a weird Juan Gonzalez thing, or has anyone else noticed big sales of 1999 Prism Red parallels?

Well, I know I don't see them very often, but that still seems like a lot of money for an unnumbered Pacific card (not that I'm complaining). If one of Jeter or Frank Thomas popped up, would it go for $100+?

I knew that would happen. Next time i will just have to crap my pants to get a card i need.

Now i have it. What a thrill,i still have not seen another.
