Now I have been doing the ttm thing for a few years now on and off. Being a huge Sublime fan I was very excited when they decided to find a new singer and do some shows (Sublime with Rome) I figured even if the singer stinks I still get to see Bud and Eric rock out and be happy with that. Little did I know this Rome guy would blow my mind. Being a huge Sublime fan I was going into this extremely critical and with his voice and positive youthful attitude he won me over and I bought tickets for the rest of the shows (3 nights here in nyc). Is it the same with out Bradly no, but it is a great way to remember the music and Bradly.

I was even more excited when I heard they where going into the studio to record a brand new album! So I did a bit of digging through my label connections and found out what studio they where at, so I shot off a letter with a stub just thanking Rome and wishing him best of luck. I also asked if he had a favorite phrase or lyrics on the new album and if he would care to share it with me. Today I was very excited when I seen this in my mail box :D

A few lyrics from the song "Spun" from the upcoming Sublime with Rome album due early summer

I love their song Panic that they came out with. My uncle went and seen Sublime With Rome in Texas said that he was very surprised how good they sounded, and my uncle is a huge Sublime fan who was a little upset that they were going to continue without Brad. I like Sublime and if these guys come to STL i will be there for sure.

I should also add he wont be signing anymore according to a letter along with this one saying the guitars and vocals start this week. But the band is a great ttm venue signer and they are touring with 311 this summer and the entire band signs most of the time.

It's always cool to get a TTM from a favorite musician...

I am still trying to track down Tom Delonge... I wish he still owned Atticus Clothing, because it is HARD to find an addy for MacBeth Shoes... and the "general address" for him doesn't work.

I would try where they are playing. Some of the larger venues have a procedure to get any mail to the bands tour manager. Now what happens after that is a whole other thing. I have received guitar picks back from a few of the larger acts who wont sign, but at least you have a chance. Also try to send close to the show where the item gets to the venue the week of the concert. Anything sitting around longer is taking a risk of getting lost in the shuffle.

Also Get to a show, when you see the giant buses more than likely thats the band. Hang out in that area and ask questions to people who are walking around who have passes. You never know who you may run in to.

Cool, ty for the info! I think blink-182 is on a looooong European tour, so I would have to wait until they get back, or Angels and Airwaves tours the US (those are both the bands he is in).
