Not sure why the Phillies needed Pierre :? Does anyone realize he has 2020 career hits?

I didn't hear about the Jeff Francis signing, it's only a minor league deal so not much risk involved. I highly doubt he'll crack the starting rotation. Doesn't hurt to take a chance though as you never know.

I suppose. I guess he wants to win instead of play b/c he's certainly not going to play full time with the Phillies. I figured he would go to a stinky team and try to play full time for an outside shot at 3,000 hit. You laugh except for his two years with the Dodgers that he played sparingly, he's averaged like 180 hits a year.
