As as Cubs and Angels fan, I LOVE THIS.

THe Angels and Arte Moreno are marketing geniuses, they will make there money back on this deal, I can guarantee it. Book it! Trust me on this one. Do you know how Arte made all his money? Billboards. He can sell, he can market, he WILL make money on Pujols and the salary is really not that important.

Very happy to have the machine out of the central. Also love that Buehrle, who was the Cardinals supposed back up plan is in Miami.

Good day for me :D :D

I don't know what will happen with his card prices, but I can't wait to add an Angels auto of Pujols to my collection.

I can see him playing a few years at first and then becoming a DH for the rest of his career..

I'm glad I'll be able to see him play more though..

I think it was a good decision between the two parties. The weather is definitely an upgrade for Albert and the money is outstanding. How it will affect his card values, is anyone's guess. I imagine there will be a lot of his cardinals stuff up for sale now, at a bargain I would guess. Of course he will have Angels jerseys available just in time for Christmas.

First cards of Pujols in an Angels uni--sell immediately! Then keep pulling them as the season goes on. The first cards will have crazy demand--auto or base.

That's just Moonoply money. As a Cardinals fan, I'd hate to see him go, but can't blame him to take that kind of offer. Kind of like when the Angels signed Torii Hunter. Hated to see Torii leave the Twins, but they made him an offer he couldn't refuse. If true, it'll really make the Prince Fielder sweepstakes interesting.

Mauer is getting $23m a year for 8 years.

Pujols is getting $25m a year for 10 years.

That's New Stadium Revenue money. And people are complaining about overspending because Joe's been hurt so much recently.

And the Dodgers have to sit by and be upstaged by "little brother" again. This divorce/sale of the team is killing us. 3 of the biggest free agents of the last few years on the market and we can't do a damn thing.

And it's already $46m in "stadium money" that has been thrown away. I guess that Pujols contract is being paid with "new Pujols money"

Pujols is going to have to lose a limb to make his contract look worse than Mauers. Pujols has been putting up numbers consistantly over his career. Mauer has had one great year in his career.

The Cardinals should have paid Albert whatever it took to keep him. This is the biggest mistake in the history of the organization. How do you let the best player of the last decade walk? I'd be pissed if I were a Cardinal fan. Talk about World Series hangover; you guys are going to look at your 2012 line-up and feel like you're in the movie 'Hangover'.
Prince may end up the consolation prize.
