I can't imagine that many distributors really enjoy buying some of the non-sports garbage Topps has put out, but $ is $, and sometimes you hold your nose, write the check, and hope you don't get stuck with it.
Razor has done well with their poker line, and I commend them for it. It's just the rest of the story that is so off-setting.
BTW, why the hell is this still on the baseball board?

Were any Razor products promoted as an "investment"? No. In fact, I don't believe ANY card companies promote their products as "investments."
The card companies set a price point on their products based on costs. You, as the buyer/consumer, decide if you want to buy the product at that price. If you do...you're buying a COLLECTIBLE.
If you choose to try and turn that collectible into an "investment" that is solely YOUR problem, not the card company. You lose, your problem for buying in at the price YOU paid. You could very easily said "no thanks" if you didn't feel the "investment" was worth it.
