Maybe I can talk thepit.com in buying a few hundred of each player and adding them as IPO's. It would be great to have some of these guys cards on thepit. I still think they would be very popular and liquid on the site. I'm sure thepit would be up for it. They like buying in bulk.

why would you want more of the cards in circulation? I know you were a big proponent of thepit from the beginning but still, are there really that many people who use thepit who haven't seen these on the bay and would be willing to pay more than the $5?

Good idea. Let's make the print run on each card higher so each card becomes slightly less valuable

They wouldn't charge more than $5. They make their money from fee's. Just throwing idea's out there. It would ruin the chance any kind of SP's.

Them being SP is the only thing that could keep these at any value in the future.

Just thinking out loud. I'm sure Brian didn't go into this hoping most of them would end up being SP's from lack of sales.

Good point, and that is true.

However, from a basic collectors standpoint, wouldnt the cards ending after 30 days then being available on the pit forever seem like an extension of the sale for $5

I am all about market fluctuation.

A rare ryan westmoreland razor metal that is SP of /172 is more appealing than a ryan westmoreland razor metal that is /1000

This is basically the contenders effect, the better players naturally have a higher print run but still sell for a lot, the lower SP, lesser known players have a vastly smaller print run and are able to hold their value over time.

I have to look at it out of the collectors/prospectors eyes, not the eyes of Razor. And since that is the case, i want as few out there as possible. I'm not sure what the cost per card came out to be for Brian but I would imagine that these base metals will probably be right around break even but i could be wrong. The parallels will all sell out extremely fast though.

They players photo's really jump off the cards. The parallels should look pretty darn good. Are the white dots dust?

I don't think Brian would care who buys them or he wouldn't have opted to sell them in this fashion, at this point it is about selling as many of the 1,000 at $5 a pop as Brian can (the outcome of SP's is of no concern to him, as he isn't making money off of them from the secondary market just the initial release). It would suck for those hoping to cash in on the possibility of these being SP's but Razor has no stake in this, so I don't see the problem of it.
Although as a prospector, I can see where this idea would make some of you pissed off (but as we've learned recently & seen many times before, it is not really a priority of card companies to make sure that the secondary seller's pocket's get fat from profit, but only that the initial goal of thier bottom line is reached & then some)! :D

Would be hecka expensive.....i think it would be legit for a millionaire collector to buy the rest of the cards, so razor makes maximum profit, and then THEY shred their cards to make all card pretty low SP. Maybe keep 10 or so of each and those price would darn near rise to unthinkable levels!!!!

Some players would only have4 razor metal cards in circulation!!!!

Hah, maybe I'll not think out loud for the sake of prospector. The parallels should go quick. I'm very interested in how that goes.

 Oh, I've sat out of this dance so it is of no concern to me although I'm very interested in seeing how these do from a prospector & collector's standpoint, as this could modify how card company's do business in the future depending on the initial success of these (& while interesting, I'm not too sure this would be a positive thing if other card companies begin following suit)....Heck guy's & gal's, we could be watching the "Revolution" of card districution as we type! (While I am sitting out of this "dance", I'll gladly give up my spot from the sideline's just as soon as these auto's roll out!) :D

It would be interesting if they'd be willing to drop the price to $4 to move a few extra.

It might tick people off that paid $5, but it's the way just about everything else in the world works, so i don't see the problem.

why destroy 1000's of chrome cards if you could move them at $2 each?

Why destroy them and why stick to $5 price? -----because that was a promise and BG would hate to deal with backlash if he went against word again.

Why? Respect of the customers is not a good reason for you? They are building a BRAND based on customer service do you seriously think they will poop on all their supporters that bought massively at 5$ by droping the rest at 1-2$, seriously? Never ever they will do such thing to gain an extra 2,000$ that will result in fact in a major loss later on.
