Is it a full moon tonight?
Must be because I am agreeing with JeffN on a point.

Just because the company that is slabbing the card puts a /# on the casing doesn't mean that the # given by any card company is accurate.

The # on it is helpful if years down the road one is curious what the stated print run is. Kind of neat that the slabber is including that info on the casing

One doesn't know if the said print run is true. I personally just take the word of the company. I however would feel more at ease if the card# with print run # actually = printed on card (1/30, 2/30, 3/30, etc)

My opinion is the same regardless of what card company we are talking about. When I had my 3 G Beckham BDP golds, it was nice seeing that they were each individually #ed

I'm sure BG sees such comments and will most likely serial # SPs in the future

Anyone worried about serial numbering can send them into BGS where the print run will be put on the slab:

Hmmm, that's very odd as none of mine had what they were supposedly numbered to.

That is strange - I can't remember if I wrote /30 on the submission sheet or if they took care of it for me.

Are there any players that have yet to be listed?

Nope, Jeremy Beckham was the final one.

Jay Austin was supposed to be included, but never returned his autos to Razor.

The checklist is complete at 74 players.

Thanks, that is what I thought. Wonder how Razor did on this product. I would guess rather well considering the method of sale. Hope to hear about their next baseball product soon.

I would guess that for many of the singles, they made a very slight profit if any at all. To set up plates and run presses for such a limited product is quite costly. The biggest thing they gained(atleast in my eyes) is exposure.

I feel a little disheartened as to the potential of these cards right now. For some reason I am getting the vibe that the 08 Razor Signature cards will be better than the Metals. The prices have tanked on the Metals since their debut. I'm not sure if that's due to a lack of faith in the product, lack of production from the players, or a combination of the two.

Kind of blows that the slabbing company put print run on some (LLWessman) but not on others
Having the print run on all slabs could be helpful years down the road
Kind of scares me that they just took the word of the person submitting form if that's why they did it for LLWES
Maybe we should just write /5 on a submission form for some random 1998 topps card and see if the print run makes the slab

I would guess that they did not do it without confirming somehow.

Even if they make the call down to Texas to confirm or checked ebay auction to see what the stated print run was in the auction, I don't think it should be included on the slab unless it is included on the card itself
Kind of a bummer that they aren't on the card
Oh well, maybe next time

While no one has bothered to ask me, I will volunteer details on short printing:

some names were short because a particular player smeared some number of cards... VERY FEW were pulled for printing quality..

Other names we did less signatures as we had no more signatures remaining in our contract...

Hope this clarifies....

If anyone wishes to challenge our stated print run, I will offer a LARGE CASH REWARD for anyone that can substantiate any claims that we produced even 1 extra card of any Metal autograph. In future, I strongly believe we will individually number any cards done in limited quantities like this. If stated print run doesn't satisfy our customers, we'll number them to satisfy our customers. We assumed (although it appears incorrectly) that the hobby was accepting of stated print runs as it has been with those products of other companies.

Needless to say, we DO listen and will make changes quickly to listen and value our customer's feedback.

always feel free to PM with questions, no need to rely on heresay when I make myself available to everyone...

I think I did very well on this auction price. This was definitely one of the top sellers from all of the Razo Metal Autos that were offered online.

No one is claiming that you did back door them, or misstate print runs. But if you did, your word is worthless -- as is a claim for a "LARGE CASH REWARD".

I thought you didn't post here anymore -- just sent me insulting, timewasting PMs...

Thanks for the reply BG
As stated, I (or any of us) have no reason to doubt the stated print run but obviously feel better if any company does put the actual serial # with print run on it

Good to hear that future SPs from Razor most likely will have #s
I don't do the non-sport stuff but I wonder if those collectors would appreicate the stamping or not

It isn't just a Razor thing. All companies should # their SPs
