Actually, i've been a Rays fan for awhile, favorite player used to be Cansecco, when I first got to see him play I began liking the Rays. Followed them throughout the years of torture. Nice to know you all give such nice warm greetings to the new guys on the board! Guess this collapse has really gotten to your heads!

Do you realize the irony of the bolded part? Or the post after the one I made about the 3-run HR? You're very passive-aggressive, but you also play the "you guys pick on new people" card.

I'm not picking on you because you're new -- it's because you're so lazy that you abbreviate "tomorrow" to "2moro".

Oh, that, and the fact that you're a homer and turn everything into a "Well, the Rays...".
Sorry, I did not realize every post had to be constructed to the standards of a term paper. My sincere apologies.

Once, again, if you can't see that one of my reasons is sarcasm and the other is the serious one...

Well.. see. You've been here a very short time, and all of your posts have been Rays homerism. How, exactly, am I supposed to decipher your sarcasm? Mine was blatant. I'm done.. this guy reeks of a smurf account.

lol Longoriafan is just like those Yankee "fans" who bash their rivals moreso than they root for their own team. Quite pathetic if you ask me....

Also, how is it a historic comeback by the Rays? That is friggen laughable.....how about the historic self-destruction by the Sox? Yeah, that's more like it. It's not like the Rays even had a great September, yeah....16-10. Real historic. Where is the roll eyes smiley when you need it?

I actually love when new members join and offer something of substance - a new area of expertise or interest, a unique player or set they collect, or fresh takes on subjects that we've hashed over time and time again.
People that come in here and make a troll-er-iffic splash? The world needs more of them? Not so much.
And blaming us for not being a warm, accepting blanket of friendship because you decided to introduce yourself to us as an a-hole?
Kids today...

And regarding the collapse - again, I don't play for them. Is it uncomfortable to watch? Yes. Do I still have a job and the rest of my life to deal with when the Sox season is over? Yup. I'll be OK, but thanks for your concern about my mental well-being.

(And damn you, APharis, for even making me see this inane post by quoting it!)

There are two reasons the Rays are where they are today.....

1. The Red Sox have been playing like crap for the last few weeks.

2. Thy Yankees have been cruising into the post season with second and third string players, thus allowing the Rays to win.

If you believe that the Rays had this incredible come-back without any other assistance then you really are a homer.

The absolute best outcome for the Yankees is to have Boston and Tampa play a 1-game playoff.

Agreed. Gives them another day to rest and the winner of that one game showdown will have played hard to stay alive

Did Tampa get more than 22,000 in the stadium tonight?
How many of those 22,000 are Yankee fans? 1/2 maybe?
I would have loved to go to the game since I'm about 3 hours away but I hafta work tonight

Interesting - I actually hadn't thought of that angle. I was just hoping the Tampa fans would appreciate how big this game is. Maybe that's why tomorrow's playoff would be at 4pm, so the elderly could go; kind of like an Early Bird Special Playoff Game.
