Robert Andino.
Reyes
Andino is the reason the Sox aren't in the playoffs.
The pitching staff is the reason.

This is the second year in a row that Adrian's team choked and missed the playoffs.
Yep, he was quite prophetic with that little gem.Liberate Baltimore said:...Wasn't it Papelbon who said last night that "the weak fall by the way side"? Classic...

Bah, I hate it when your right...miguelcabrera said:just as i said all along
sox wont even make it to a one game playoff
why did they even need to play these games it was so obvious
Quite ironic that the [strike:1pm7h5a5]Rays won[/strike:1pm7h5a5] Yankees lost their game less than 10 minutes after the Sox lost theirs.....RNCoyote said:How many Red Sox fans will make claims Yankees threw the game to the Rays?
I'd be nice if they didn't have a set closer, and just pitched whoever was ready to go and didn't pitch 9 games in a row to up their save count, sadly that is not how baseball works. But if we have to have a closer I sure wouldn't mind seeing Morales in that role, he's definitely matured as a pitcher since joining the Sox. Will be interesting to see if Jenks has a bounceback year though, be nice to see him earn his contract.Bosox3 said:scotty21690 said:No chance.vwnut13 said:Are the Red Sox going to resign Papelbon?
EDIT: No to Varitek, Drew, and Scutaro as well.
EDIT #2: I think Varitek will stay with the organization but not as a player.
I wouldnt be soo certain about paps though. Who else is out there? Bard is clearly not ready for that role and dont even think about Jenks. hahaha
I agree w/ the other changes though.
I'm just really hoping Tito doesn't go.
I believe the Yankees thought the Red Sox were going to win the game so they let the Rays back in it, then the Orioles came back and won. If the Yankees knew that, I think they would have tried to win it.RNCoyote said:How many Red Sox fans will make claims Yankees threw the game to the Rays?
And it's exactly why that 0-8 start for the Sox mattered.MantMaris said:This situation is why I HATE hearing "Don't worry, it's early" when your team blows an April or May game that they had in hand and let slip away.

I don't think it was Mariano's fault.braden said:Adrian Gonzalez already explained why they choked. It was God. Not them.
