looking ahead to the offseason
as much as i hate to say it, this team needs to resign pap, bard has been just awful and without pap and aceves im not sure where this already miserable bullpen would be without them
maybe try and ship bard off somewhere in the offseason, although who would take him?

ROBERT ANDINO!

Papelbon blows it but Bard didn't help.

bard essential blew it

pap gave up one hit.....so far

Does Bard get his ninth loss if the sox lose (Bard's runners scored) or would it get charged to Papelbon since he gave up the hit?

The Sox don't need a closer, they need a set-up man.

I'm not sure how that works, I think Bard gets the L because he has the 2 ER which gave them the lead.

i believe pap would get the loss since his runner scored the go ahead run

if he had come in with the bases loaded and gave up that hit, i believe bard would get the loss

who cares tho

they both suck and should both get the loss

I am trying to be level headed about the recent troubles with this team but it's getting comical how bad they've become. I mean every single pitcher on the staff seems hell bent on destroying this team from the inside.

The Redsox ERA for this month is near Lackey Level.

Somewhere over the 6.09 it was at before the game today.

That is what happens when the majority of your starts are from Lackey, Wakefield, and Weiland. :|

DO NOT and I mean DO NOT count the Sox out. They've hit some bumps but one thing is for certain.....they have so much talent, so much potential, one pitch and one swing of the bat can turn it around for them. I wish they could just skip their at bats because I know they are so dangerous. I don't think of any other team in the majors that has so much fear factor as the Sox (IMO).

Don't count em out yet folks. The Sox aren't done. They've still got the Yankees to play this weekend and we all know that they beat the Yanks like they stole something.

Damn.........and I'm a Yankees fan talking good things about Boston. Must have a touch of the flu. ;)
