BillyPacker you're probably right. I doubt they would AUCTION THESE OFF IN THESE HUGE LOTS IF THEY WERE STOLEN. I'm sure cargolargo could care less about cards or Tosoni. Will be interesting to see what they sell for. Maybe Topps will make a run at buying them back. MAybe BG will get in on the bidding. I'd love to win a lot of these, but I'm sure they will go for a decent price. Just for the rarity of owning so much of a print run of a card. Even if it is a fringe prospect.

The main reason they will go for so much is because they were posted on this site. If Jus Chrome didn't make the post, they would have gone dirt cheap.

Bo - I don't feel like scrolling back but someone (and I thought it was you) speculated earlier in this thread that these auctions will never run to completion and that's the way I'm leaning here too. I think Topps will make whatever arrangments they need to in order to re-obtain these cards and as a result the auctions will be pulled.

Has anyone ever owned 24 out 25 of oranges of someone or even 23-25. These are just such unique once in a lifetime auctions. Although it's just Tosoni and dude from Baltimore. Just the wow factor in it. I wonder what winners do with these lots. To me the value is in having such a huge portion of a print run in one place. I think if you go and sell a bunch off the value just decreases the value of the collection.

So If you were a winner of one of these lots what would you do? For me I'd just try and get the one's that are missing from the runs. If they were even printed. Who knows, these may be the entire print runs. Or would you just sell them off in small lots or just one by one.

Why would you care if you had a complete print run of an insignificant card? It may be "unique", but that's about it, the value still inherently lies in the player and his career.

To me the only value in these auctions is the chance to own almost complete print runs of a single auto card. I don't think anyone is big on Tosoni as a prospect. I doubt anyone is going to bid big thinking Rene is going to be a good flip down the road. If I had money to waste i'd go after some of these lots with no intention of making money off it.

Lots are taking off now. Looks like they'll be big sellers if they go the distance.

Yeah, I bet we see some big snipes come in the last seconds on these. Who wouldn't want 480 Tosoni base auto cards.

I just contacted Topps about my Tosoni redemption last week. They were "fairly certain that they would be able to obtain the signatures soon" . Uh yeah just send me a replacement buddy. I bet not two days later I get a 07 Refractor AU- Austin Jackson (maybe Justin it was the BlueJay). I wondered why they sent it out so fast.

I don't go to other card sites other than here and check blowout on occasion. They also have a thread on these auctions. Are these auctions getting run on other card sites?

Not sure if anyone else mentioned this already, but the guy has roughly 98% of the print run on all the parallels, right?

We can induce that he has 90% or more of the Base Chromes...only ~1000 Chrome Autos? Estimates have always been around 2000-2800.
