I fear this might be another Andrew Miller situation where he is getting rushed to the Majors because the team is in desperate need of pitching. I just hope the O's dont do this with Matusz, Arrieta, or Tillman

What prices do you think I can get on those 2? I listed them BIN/BO.

Should I sell with this hype or hold? I am not a big flipper...advice is appreciated.

The Orange won't get more than the $349 that the other one is listed at. I didn't get mine up in time, so I might wait until Sunday - the week running up to his first start might cause a little more hype. Then again, it's a BGS 9, 01/25, and I'm only into it for a fraction of what it will go for, so I might not get too greedy and just take a profit.

I don't think I would call the Tigers a "terrible organization", but I agree that Porcello would have been better off in the minors to start the season. However, with numerous pitchers on the DL Porcello is one of their five best starting pitchers right now. Leyland has always been one to put the best team on the field even if that meant releasing a veteran and calling up a rookie. Hopefully Porcello will do well in the majors, but if he does struggle I am sure that he will be sent down when some of the other guys return from the DL.

I totally agree. He will do enough damage hobby-wise to the point where everyone second guesses owning him as an investment THEN will be sent to the minors :lol: :lol: :lol: I can't dump his stuff fast enough.

It is not necessarily "he has no chance to make it" it was more like "there are 5 guys on the team that are better choices to open the season until he develops"......sadly they are just a bunch of bums........they will have a difficult season and Porcello will take major lumps.

I see it Akin to situation in Atlana with Tommy Hanson.

He has the stuff to make it, however there are 5 better pitchers who they are more comfortable with starting while he gets work in on the farm.

The difference is that Hanson would have dominated if he made the rotation and Porcello will struggle. now THAT I will apologize for if I am in error, but I strongly believe this. Would Hanson dominate in the AL East? No friggin way!!!

I don't agree with him making the big club..... BUT the best 5 pitchers should be in the rotation and Mr.Porcello was top 3 this spring.... if Not better.

So I don't know it's hard for me to judge.... I feel that he should be in AAA but not in the MLB but here's hoping and praying he becomes an ACE.

EDIT:Also it did not help that Willis/Bonderman/Zumaya are all on the DL and the fact Robertson sucked this ST.... that is a big reason why Porcello made the club.

It is not the stuff it is the league.....AL is in a league of there own.

The NL East is a much better hitting division than the AL Central. If we were talking either the AL East or the AL West, it might be a little different.

So what happens if Porcello wins his first game that he starts this season? Everyone seems to think his prices will drop soon if he starts off losing, so what do people think will happen if he actually wins?
