Rickey Henderson Collectors Thread

Just picked these up via BIN, and got them in the mail a few days ago:

These are the front and back of the 1992 LK (or "L and K" as listed in Beckett) decals. I've only seen these for sale a handful of times, and didn't expect to actually be able to add them to the collection. If anyone has any pics of the mugs, steins, cups, plates, or anything else featuring the decals, I'd love to get a copy. I'm hoping to put a post together for the blog, and I don't have any of the other items, but I want to include them in the post.

Brad, supposedly only 50 of those decals exist, so nice pickup (if that's really true). Here is a pic of the mug, plate, and stein.

By the way, I have an extra mug if anyone wants to trade for one.

Those are sweet, and are now definitely going on my want list! I've never seen those before, how did you manage to track them down?

Brad, I got one off of Ebay for $3 BIN over the summer. The guy told me he had another ticket for a September game with Henderson and he would save it for me. Gave him another $3 and got the second one in Sept.

Brad, what info do you have on 2010 Sterling?

It is probably worth .50. They are pretty common.

I figured as much. It was free (death in the extended family), so I have no complaints. Thanks again for the reply. Now if I can just get a rise out of anyone concerning the 2005 Studio Portraits cards of Henderson's I still need. They are sure expensive compared to other players. Any Henderson collectors hoarding these that I need to beg to trade/sell a few to me?

I figured he was probably on some in 2008, but they don't seem to surface very often.

As for 2010 Sterling, I know very little. I haven't been able to find a detailed checklist like Topps normally releases. All I know is that he's in the "autograph relics" subset as well as the "relics" subset," but that's not much to go on. I'm hoping that they'll release a full list soon, or at least Beckett will put out something. It doesn't officially come out until tomorrow, so we should see some more showing up shortly.

I only have 11 Studio Portraits of Henderson. If you ever decide to sell, I will consider buying all of the ones you have. How many different are there?

I have 26 of the 56, but I am not much of a fan of them.

Anyway, I have an extra Rickey:

2005 Donruss Studio Studio Portraits #SP-82 (Sepia, Color portrait, "Donruss Leather & Lumber" promo) (#/30)

BUT....its already potentially lined up in another trade for Rickeys. BoJax....what other Rickeys do you have for trade if my other trade falls through (and if you need this one). I might also have some other Studio Portraits at home of other players. I'll check and get back to you.

Congrats on the new computer, they are always fun! I just bought my wife an iPod Touch for Christmas (neither of us have iPhones), so she's pretty excited about getting into the world of apps! I'm sure Kent has some suggestions, being the Apple fan that he is.

Hi guys, just wanted to stop by and say Hi and let you all know that I too am amongst the living. I just got back from my annual Thanksgiving vacation to the forest. It was wonderful! I had great cell phone service, and even quoted the "Happy Thanksgiving" post and was going to wish you all the same, but... I was just having too much fun. And my phone kept freezing up, so I have to take the battery out of it to reboot it. Ah well, just know I was thinking of you my fellow Rickey collector.

Now I'm back in the city, contemplating how much I like trees. I prefer them to people. And of course vacation is so much better than work. And here I am at work, with 10 days worth of it stacked on my desk. So heeeeere I go!

Looks like somebody snatched it up? It's sweet, and (I think) I have #12/25... It's hard to tell if somebody bought it, it doesn't say who did it.


I have this coworker who sits in the cube directly in front of me. He's been a great guy all summer long, but now it's winter and it's cold. I don't know what he's drinking over there, but he keeps going sluuuuuuuurrrrrrrppppppppp. All day long, every 2 or 3 minutes. sluuuuuuuurrrrrrrppppppppp. He just did it again. *sigh*
