By recommendation of board member DaClyde I'll share with you this sticker from the 1978-79 Liga Mexicana del Pacifico (Mexican Pacific Cost League) when Rickey Henderson played for the Mayos de Navojoa:

DSC02322.jpg

He saw in my photobucket I had stickers from this album and asked if I could take pictures of the rest of the album and was a wonderful idea I hadn't done just for being lazy. Ended up watching a lot of great players before they made to MLB or in their first years.

That's incredibly awesome! I'm assuming you don't have any more of those lying around anywhere, lol!

Do you have some pictures of what the jerseys look like? That would be a sweet one to get made. I know the Rickey doesn't show the jersey, but other players might.

That is awesome. How do I get one?

Looks like we had the same idea at the same time:)

I'm sorry but this is the only I've seen. It's in an album that my dad gave to me. Live I've said in other occasions, there's no hobby in Mexico so probably not a lot of people collected and if they did probably they threw it away. I made a question in a Mexican baseball forum to see if people know something about it (doubt it) and if I come to another sticker I'll let you guys know.

Here other stickers from his team:

My buddy hit the 03 Absolute Placque auto patch 6/10.

I can't get him to part with it.

Wish I had a picture.

Are you sure it is numbered to 10? I am pretty sure there are only 3 Henderson plaques. I thought the auto one was numbered to 15.

There are 4, jersey (200), bat/jersey (100) , auto (15?), auto/jersey (10?)

Hmmm... here's my list, taken from the OPG in 2003:

2003 Absolute Memorabilia Glass Plaques AU/15 98
2003 Absolute Memorabilia Glass Plaques AU-Jsy/10 99
2003 Absolute Memorabilia Glass Plaques Bat-Jsy/100 100
2003 Absolute Memorabilia Glass Plaques Jsy/200 101
2003 Absolute Memorabilia Glass Plaques Jsy/100 X

Of course, I never bothered to note which one I have. ::facepalm::  I don't know if that last one really exists, seems weird it's number "X" instead of 102. Probably a Beckett Brain Fart.

OK, some 2002 questions for you guys....
does anyone know what the "Spectrum" looks like and is it different than the normal red version? Is it serial numbered?
************************************************************************

It is not serial numbered, and it has a refractor like finish. If I recall correctly.

Also, Beckett shows this:
2002 Absolute Memorabilia Tools of the Trade 2
2002 Absolute Memorabilia Tools of the Trade Gold 2
2002 Absolute Memorabilia Tools of the Trade Materials Jsy/300 2

Is the "Gold" version serial numbered? In looking at Rickeypedia, I see two different TOTT versions, but the Gold version doesn't look serial numbered (which would make it difficult to notice which one I had if not looking at them side-by-side). Any thoughts?

I have a very comprehensive Sabathia collection, and I have most of the versions of these cards. For Team Tandems, I have the Gold Spectrum Regular you name it. I would tell you that maybe someday I could dig them up and scan them, but it's just not realistic. I wonder if Mark Grace was in the set? If so there would be good pics on a site somewhere...

I'm missing only two cards from the set.

2002 Playoff Absolute Memorabilia Team Quads Prime Materials w/Thome/Colon/Bran 8 #/25
2002 Playoff Absolute Memorabilia Tools of the Trade Gold 12

I don't think the TotT Gold is #'d, but... as you can see, I can't be sure.
Here is an auction for one though (I think): [ebay:qz68cedn]200490588505[/ebay:qz68cedn]

Here is my Team Tandem set:

2002 Absolute Memorabilia Team Tandems w/J.Thome 10
2002 Absolute Memorabilia Team Tandems Gold w/J.Thome 10
2002 Absolute Memorabilia Team Tandems Materials Jsy w/Thome Bat 10
2002 Absolute Memorabilia Team Tandems Materials Gold Jsy w/Thome Jsy 10 #42/50 (3 clr CC)
2002 Absolute Memorabilia Team Tandems Spectrum w/J.Thome 10

According to my list, neither the Gold nor Spectrum insert is #'d, only the Gold Jsy.

I've been wanting to answer this stuff all week, while sitting in Vegas and reading FCB on my phone. ;) I just didn't have my spreadsheets...

Pretty sure 5th doesn't exist. Wouldn't make sense to have a jersey /200 and /100. The jersey I have is /200 and the bat/jersey is /100.

The current Beckett OPG only had the first 4 listed. The jsy/100 may have been listed at some point in time, but it has since been removed.

yeah, my list is pretty crappy for several reasons. The main one is that it's been years since I've given a crap. The second one was that when I did care, I was too dilligent, and at the same time not dilligent enough. I would check the OPG often for new sets, and add them to my list. But I never went back to see if the list had changed and updated my list. Ah well... spices things up around here!

I'm up to about 1000 on the checklist Brad sent me. Adding in all the Star cards and ones from another user (can't recall name, but knows all the random stuff for every player). I still have some inserts and parallels to add before going thru all the basics. I'm going to add SLU's and posters and such too I think. Maybe on another tab or something? 2 or 3 binders and mags and such to add. I know over 1500, but haven't counted in YEARS. I'd love to be over 2000!

So Dave has 91 Dad's Kids Cards as well as a QVC version. I thought they were just for sale on QVC? Those things are hard to find, and now there is another version? I have 90 Score, 91 Donruss and 91 Upper Deck. I think there might be a 90 Donruss? All of mine have the little red logo on the front. Only one that mentions QVC is the 91 UD. It has a gold foil number, but not a print run, the 91 Donruss is /50,000. 90 Score has nothing as far as number or print run.

1992 DAD’S KID TRI-CARD (91 DONRUSS - GOLD LABEL – 300 MADE)
1992 DAD’S KID TRI-CARD (91 DONRUSS - QVC NETWORK ED. #01485)
1992 DAD’S KID TRI-CARD (91 UPPER DECK- #1174/50,000)

I've always had them down as a 1991 issue, not 1992. Not sure why other than that's the cards I have. I only have these two:

1991 Dad's Kid Corp. Tri Card Donruss (#00443/50000) (in box)
1991 Dad's Kid Corp. Tri Card Upper Deck (#00355/50000) (in box, made for QVC Network)

You would think with 50000 made they'd be a little easier to come by!!! :?

BTW, I got this fairly cheap recently:
Gold (5/9)
10toppstriplethreadsgoldMLB5of9.jpg

To go along with these:
Sepia (15/27)
10toppstriplethreadssepiaMLB15of27.jpg

Red (34/36)
10toppstriplethreadsredMLB34of36.jpg

Anyone got the "MLB" Emerald they'd trade me for a different Rickey Emerald?? Or maybe even the Sapphire or Platinum??

TTT is extremely stingy with their patches, at least in the Rickey dept. Pretty sure they only put them in the 1/1s, and even then only 1 of the pieces are patch. Or maybe I'm just confusing that with Sterling, where I KNOW that's how they did it.

I have thought before that Topps must not have many Rickey patches...

Normally they put patches into everything, Rickey must not have liked Topps...
