jcool, that 82 perma.gold was a really tough one for me. It was the last card I needed from 82, and finished up the 79-83 portion of my wantlist. I paid $20 for it, but I was so happy to get it. Then they added the 82 Blackless to the OPG, so now my list isn't complete anymore anyway, shoulda never blown the $20... ::facepalm:: [/quote]

Yeah I have been looking awhile for that one. Card Gallery has one on the Beckett market place but he wants $30. I just think that's a little high.

I advise patience on that one. Set up a saved search on ebay and have it email you. Make sure to watch for sets!

I had in my sig on Topps MB: "$20 Finders fee for 82 Perma.gold Rickey". A guy with better search skills snagged a team set off ebay for ~$5 and made a killing off me! He got $15 and the rest of the set (I can't remember if it was just a team set, or the whole set... I don't think the whole set is that big, so I think it was the whole set) for free. ::facepalm:: I should have been more patient and/or searched better, it took him less than a month (after I posted that in my sig) to find that one.

Just wanted to remind everyone NOT to bid on these coins:

They are VIRTUAL coins, and you may as well just print out the picture from the auction, as it won't be any different than actually owning one :)

and yet people are still bidding on them, wish I had enough money to bid on stuff that doesnt exist, dont you?

Kent, did no one ever invite you over here?! I just figured you didn't have time for the Rickey board. I comment on your stuff on FB so often, I never really put it together that you never posted here either!

Not that I ever remember. After Card Fanatics had it's database problem, I lost touch with the group.

Just missed on a 2001 King of Kings Aaron, Henderson,& Ryan for $300 BIN. By the time I opened it, it was sold. What a steal.

If the base sold that quick, I can only imagine what the Chrome version of that or the Henderson refractor would go for :o

Can any of you guys tell me if how rare or often it was that Rickey added "#35" to his autograph? I really haven't seen very many like this - so it got me wondering how potentially rare it actually is:

Not very often but they could have at least put it on a card where he is actually wearing #35, kind of odd to do that, on that card. Ya know. Value ? How many people actually care, I guess we'll see what they say.

Yeah, I found it odd being on that particular card as well.

I find it rather typical that they messed that up. The card companies aren't good with little details like that. This one drives me crazy:

Why #/35? WHY!?!?!?!?!

The 35 inscription seems incredibly rare to me... any inscription does. I only have one, but it's a good one!

You'd expect it to be on a Dodgers card... but even a broken clock is right twice a day!

I thought of one more, the grand daddy of 'em all. It wasn't easy to find a pic of, since most of the nicer versions of the card are missing the number in the middle (thankfully). One look at this card and I was... disgusted. Yes, I think that's the right word. I love numbers, and this disturbed my strange little world.
