Let me start by saying that I am Randy Moss's biggest fan to the point where his whole career I have been a fan of whatever team he's been on only! I was 12 years old in 1998 when he came into the NFL and scored a rookie record 17 touchdowns and haven't looked back since.

Anyways it makes me really sad to see how the Vikings are using him :( ... he's pretty much been demoted to a third option receiver or at best just Adrian Peterson's coverage lifter!!!! I would have rather him have stayed quiet in NE and barely get a ball thrown to him than for him to be in Minni, barely get thrown to, AND be loosing!!! And with the way the QB situation is in Minnesota this might happen all year. Moss is in his contract year and I truly believe he's still an elite WR if used properly. I may be a little bias obviously, but it's RANDY FREAKIN MOSS for God sake!!!!! Why would the Vikings trade for him only to not use him in huge games like today!!!!??? 1 Reception for 8 Yards!!!! ::facepalm:: ......

I know there are ways to get him more involved even in the short passing game and it's just not happening!!! It's driving me mad because he's on the verge of major milestones at his position and I really want him to reach them!! (1,000 receptions, all-time td king, and 15,000yards)... I really hope now that the Vikes schedule gets a little easier that they can get it together... but if not this is going to be a loooonnnnnnnngggg season for me :(

Please no Moss haters if possible because the man has changed a great deal from his early years and even after the loss today he went over and hugged Brady and them! He's a good guy who's just misunderstood. I really hope the best for him because he's a true NFL legend who doesn't get treated like one in the media! Either way I will always collect Moss and be a supporter, just hope he can find a happy spot sooner rather than later!

THANKS FOR ALLOWING ME TO RANT

He's killing my fantasy team but as a Packer fan I don't mind to see him scuffling in Minnesota.

Harvin is the new Moss in MN.

On that pass interference call, long bomb at the end zone, Moss gave up on that ball, it landed right beside him. Moss plays when Moss wants to play (that is when he's 100% of offense). Moss has not changed one bit, once a baby, always a baby!!!

Coudn't disagree more... they got the call and it was placed within the 10... he did his job.

He also could have kept playing hard and caught that ball. And I'm a Vikings fan.

He sure did. Bashed the Vikings and did nothing but praise the Patriots and say how much he missed his old teammates. I'd be pretty pissed if I was a Vikings fan.

oh well i guess. I think MOSS is the one who should be pissed!!! He barely even gets the ball in close games where he can make an impact! he has nothing to prove other than what he has already. he's a guaranteed game changer and to not be used as such is what should really piss Viking fans off!!!!

hahaha I just seen the press conference  ...
he said from here on out he's not answering any more questions and will conduct his own interviews hahahaha... he seriously must be the most hated athlete in media circles.. oh well those vultures would sell their mothers out for a good story! Randy Moss is the last honest athlete on earth and I will always have his back! Do your thing Moss and don't let the haters bring you down! 153 career td's, rookie td record, and single season td record ENOUGH SAID lol

I mentioned that in the game thread, I thought it may have just been me since the announcers didn't say anything, but guess others thought that as well. Quite frankly the next play in the end zone, I don't really think he fully stretched out for the ball, looked half-assed as he was about to get hit, either.

That being said - I still think he can be a factor. And maybe it's how good he's been and can be, and his persona, that gets people to notice and criticize those small things.
I will say though there are some red-flags......it's not like he was lighting the world on fire in NE this year either.....so it's either two situations and teams that are not using him properly, or it may be something else.

yeah maybe? I wonder what else it could be though? maybe he's loosing his passion for football like Barry Sanders did.. you know football isn't everything in life. moss is still young in non football years and has a ton of money so who knows??? hope he stays though!

I'm not a homer because I'm a Pats fan and loved him when he was here, but take off the Moss-colored glasses. He gave up on the long ball that he should've caught, regardless of whether there was a penalty or not. He ruined a great Pats win in week 1 by talking about his contract in his presser rather than the game. No matter how you spin it, Moss isn't a team guy. Never was, never will be. There's nothing wrong with that; you are what you are.
I'm not sure I agree with the fact that Moss is being misused, but I definitely agree with the fact that Childress is an atrocious coach. But, the ball should be in APs hands more than anyone else's. He's the best RB in the league, and the QB is a turnover machine.

well maybe you're right... but I kinda don't blame him for not being a team guy since the Patriots proved how disloyal they were to him. The man re-structured his contract to play with them in 2007 and turned down an even larger contract from Philly to re-sign with them in 2008! So all he asked for was some appreciation! In 51 games with the Pats he caught 50 TD'S!!!!!! I think THAT deserved some appreciation$$$$ don't you?

At the end of the day owners and coaches have no loyalty, so why should Moss go out of his way to be a "team guy" when it's not appreciated? When he was blinded to believe the organization did care about him then he played better, like in 2008 after Brady went down i'm sure the haters figured he'd tank (especially after having a brand new contract) but he didn't! Moss is a special and rare type of person, he demands loyalty and respect and if he doesn't get it he shows his displeasure!

Well, he is getting a little older, and he's never been one to go 100% all game. He also doesn't have a full preseason and partial season of time with Favre to build a chemistry.

He had to restructure in 07 because no one else wanted him. He stuck in 08 because it was the best place for him. He still made $9m per year in that deal, hardly chump change. And the job of owners and coaches is to win games and make money. Signing a 33 year old receiver with 9 catches through 4 games to a long term deal is not a good investment, nothing to do with loyalty. And why should Moss be a team guy? Because that's the way the world works. We all have jobs where we are under appreciated but we suck it up, and we all make way less than $9m per year.
Honestly, your posts make you seem like a little kid with no understanding of the realworld who can't figure out why his favorite player was traded.
