Yup loyal fan here... These glasses are not ever coming off either! Loyalty is something some of you wouldn't know about!
And this is based on what???
It's based on how most fans prove their disloyalty when after a player who busted their butt for them is traded by the OWNER and then when they come back their jeered lol! Being loyal to a team isn't me because ownership doesn't care about the fans and it's all about money for them! And SOME fans don't get it and just feed the troll that is the marketing machine! True player collectors/fans are loyal to their guy because they are in the boat like most of us... Working for a living and not just sit around counting money made off of others blood, sweat, and tears!
Belichick was the son of an assistant football coach at Navy. Hardly "sitting around counting money made off others." He and Kraft both (as well as a majority of owners and coaches) are self-made men. Kraft was a fan, a regular season ticket holder like many others. He happened to have tremendous business success (ever heard of the Kraft paper company?) and had the opportunity to buy the team.
I think you should just quit right now. Each posts make it more clear you are absolutely clueless when it comes to anything related to the real world.

To many internet warriors here I guess lol. ::facepalm::

If you guys took the time to read my previous Moss thread you would know that I had to sell my old collection by force. But anyways cards don't make someone a true fan anyway.

@ mstng99tim: I don't want to go there? LOL wasn't it you who made fun of me only having two cards??? :?

@ K&K: So Tom Brady got the massive contract NOT because of past performance??? Now who has the rose colored glasses on? What did Brady do last season besides cost the team a few wins and get blown out at home in the wildcard against Baltimore? Or how about the year before that? oh yeah that's right he was gone with injury all season.... am I right or wrong?
and you believe he's going to get you guys more SB's in the future hence that's why they gave him the huge deal? yeah right. Matt Cassell has more potential then Brady long term yet they traded him away because Brady is their golden boy.

The Patriots did what they assumed was best for business and that's fine. Obviously all the hate you guys are showing towards Moss isn't even shared by the Pats themselves. Bellichick and Kraft both praise Moss for his time there and visa verca... I just think he deserved a new contract from them and had earned it. But this is just a Moss fans opinion!

I'd like to point out that I threw NO hate at Moss.
yeah i know. K&K seems to be the one who's saying that moss was a bad business move and it made sense to get rid of him even though he just came off a season where he led the NFL in TD receptions. but that's his opinion and i wont get into it with him anymore. he might be right but as a randy fan i hope he has success no matter where he ends up.

I think this is a generational thing. This new-found (mis)use of the word "hater" always interests me. Because some of us as fans have a different opinion, the natural jump is that we're "hating". I don't hate Moss; never did, never will. But I think trading him was the smart move, and to this point, that's been shown to be true by the results. As a Pats fan, I'll take the 6-1 no matter WHO catches the ball. And Viking fans would trade records any day of the week - they aren't happy with 2-5 just because they get to see Randy Moss every Sunday.

He may have "deserved" a new contract, but he wasn't going to get one at the price he wanted. And why do people seem to conveniently forget that he ASKED TO BE TRADED? I mean, there were a couple of weeks in between his request and the trade, but regardless, it still happened.

what price was he asking for? I never heard that he put a number out there? And him requesting a trade was just a rumor and never confirmed by any legit source.

I'm not a homer because I'm a Pats fan and loved him when he was here, but take off the Moss-colored glasses. He gave up on the long ball that he should've caught, regardless of whether there was a penalty or not. He ruined a great Pats win in week 1 by talking about his contract in his presser rather than the game. No matter how you spin it, Moss isn't a team guy. Never was, never will be. There's nothing wrong with that; you are what you are.
I'm not sure I agree with the fact that Moss is being misused, but I definitely agree with the fact that Childress is an atrocious coach. But, the ball should be in APs hands more than anyone else's. He's the best RB in the league, and the QB is a turnover machine.
well maybe you're right... but I kinda don't blame him for not being a team guy since the Patriots proved how disloyal they were to him. The man re-structured his contract to play with them in 2007 and turned down an even larger contract from Philly to re-sign with them in 2008! So all he asked for was some appreciation! In 51 games with the Pats he caught 50 TD'S!!!!!! I think THAT deserved some appreciation$$$$ don't you?

At the end of the day owners and coaches have no loyalty, so why should Moss go out of his way to be a "team guy" when it's not appreciated? When he was blinded to believe the organization did care about him then he played better, like in 2008 after Brady went down i'm sure the haters figured he'd tank (especially after having a brand new contract) but he didn't! Moss is a special and rare type of person, he demands loyalty and respect and if he doesn't get it he shows his displeasure!

Excuse me, but if it weren't for the Patriots rescuing him from Oakland, he'd possibly be a nobody still today. The Patriots team MADE him a hall of famer. The Patriots weren't disloyal to him. They made the man who is today. They gave him the best ACTIVE QB in the game to work with for God sakes! Look, he's a great athlete capable of great plays. There is no denying that. There should also be no denying that he turns it on - and off - when he wants to. It's annoying to fans. Play the game day in and day out - and on game day, for the full 60 minutes.

Since this seems to be the Randy Moss discussion thread...

Randy Moss wins the Moron of the Week Award for his "press conference". I don't even know the guy (obviously), and even I felt embarrassed for him. Not only did he have his nose so far up Belichick's rear that he could smell what he had for dinner, but he also helped to alienate himself from his new team. If he loved the Pats so much, I've got to wonder why he kind of put himself in a position where he wouldn't be one anymore.

I really wonder how much better he could have been if he didn't half ass it on the field as much and didn't pull crap like that interview. He could have rivaled Jerry Rice for every receiving record by the end of his career if he didn't flat out quit playing like he has/does/will do. At least he's not slacking as much as the Raiders days. That was just a damn shame.

Perhaps his comments were a result of his regret for having made a stink of his contract status in NE and getting shuffled to MIN only to find himself getting even LESS action there than he was in NE and yes, I'm talking about tail.

You mean besides his agent?
And no, he didn't put a number out there, because there was no point. He knew the organization well enough to know what he wasn't going to get.

On that pass interference call, long bomb at the end zone, Moss gave up on that ball, it landed right beside him. Moss plays when Moss wants to play (that is when he's 100% of offense). Moss has not changed one bit, once a baby, always a baby!!!

Exactly. Very selfish player who is in it for himself.
