I like how people think they are saying something we didnt see posted on here over a month ago.
Also, I could be wrong, but there was never a signed Crusade card.

I think they look great Brian. You listened to the collector and gave them a product that fulfilled that niche. If the haters don't like it, they won't purchase it, but I'm guessing this product will sell out quickly with or without them. Now, I wish you would have stuck old guys like Will Clark in the set b/c I would love to have 2011 Clark cards that amazing looking, but definitely a well done effort on the set. I'd say continue the technology on into future sets, maybe considering a retro player list. I'd put good money on the fact the collector's of Ryne Sandberg, Kirby Puckett, George Brett etc. would love to have a card to bid on that even remotely resembled a Crusade.

Haters gonna hate, and have incredibly short memories.

Meanwhile, they'll be buying singles on the quiet.

Wow, those look great, why all the hating around here?

Because they look exactly like Crusades, as Ian Stewart's scans show.
I have nothing against Leaf or the owner Brian, but why rip off the design?
It's almost like Brian read all of the FCB posts about how popular Crusades are and then thought, "I'll copy the Crusades design 100% and call them 'Valiant' and they'll be as popular as Crusades.
It just seems lazy and uncreative.
Leaf scored with Ichiro autographs. Why not have a completely new design instead of copying Donruss' product?

Rip-off the design? Leaf was a part of Donruss in 1998. Donruss Crusades inserts were inserted into Leaf products. With the Leaf name comes the right to use former Leaf designs and/or create similar designs without having "ripped them off". Inform yourself.

I love em, it's an homage to crusades. I'm glad you didn't name them "Christians Killing People"

No, it's you. Please post more pictures of boxes that this company had zero to do with creating. It makes you look smart.

The company that made them no longer exists, he bought the name, it is the same as Topps doing A&G or t206.

Keep proclaiming that a company is ripping it's own designs off. It makes you look like a genius. Amuse us all by pointing us to the thread or post you made complaining about the 9,000 cards Topps releases per-year with an old/retro Topps design. I await your silence. ;)

First, no company besides Leaf has figured our how to make cards with this technology (as the original vendor is out of business). In person, you will see it is the 13 year old technology on steroids.....

Second, people have been begging for the return of this technology. The market waited patiently for 13 years.
We received TONS of requests for this type of set. I am merely delivering what tons of people want and no one else can deliver.

Lastly, a few haters will not deter my mission:

Give them what they want.
Give it to them how and when they want it.
Give it to them with a fair price.

If you don't like it, don't buy it...

We have had Tons of people tell us VALIANT is equally (and in some cases more) beautiful than it's inspiration 13 years ago.

I stand by my goal to deliver what collectors want. BG

I say good for you Brian. Crusades was one of the best sets ever produced and about time we got another. I love the look and with the autos' it's really over the top nice. I haven't seen a box/case price anywhere, so was wondering if that's been established yet?

~When Topps was sold, they should have stopped using their old designs in retro products... since it's a new owner and all.~

I'm actually surprised Leaf didn't simply continue the Crusades insert series with Crusades name and all. I mean, why not. They were a Leaf/Donruss product. Maybe "Donruss" (Panini) still owns the rights to the Crusades series and is now separate from Leaf?

That was the first chrome, and Topps didn't make it.

Seeing that link in your sig about the quest for the Wagner explains a lot. How did that turn out?

Anyway, I never said Leaf can't/shouldn't make these. I'm not even saying it's a bad idea. To insinuate they are as good or better, we'll see I guess.
