[quote="chisox3706":32q44oju]nope lebron will never win a title. the cavs will win game 5 im sure, but magic in 6. even if the cavs come back to win in 7, the lakers are waiting to tear them apart. screw the "kobe/lebron" matchup...lebron has to be good enough to get there first.

I think you mean the rest of the Cavs need to be good enough? Because Lebron wasn't the league's MVP this year or anything right? ::facepalm::

how many other so-called "mvp's" never made it to the promised land? off the top of my head without googling anything: karl malone, barkley and iverson. i think nowitzki won it a few years ago too and im sure im missing a few others. all players that could make it to the finals but MVP does not automatically equal championship no matter how good you are or your season was (or how good or bad your supporting cast is either).

i wouldnt have ever cared if MJ never won an MVP as long as those titles kept rolling in for chicago. im sorry but MJ was truly the type of player that made everyone around him better. i mean look at pippen and ho.grant to name two. they were integral pieces of the bulls rosters and then without MJ they were just...regular players...(pip especially)

so as i was saying, lebron can keep his mvp trophy, he will never hoist a championship one...now unless he goes to a stacked team like boston did last year, that was just sick with their three-headed monster...then there is no looking back and i will accept lebron getting his ring, but thats the only way i foresee it happening IMO.

...and besides, werent the cavs the "favorite" to win the championship? i mean they are supposedly "unstoppable" at home...lets see if they can pull a red sox v yankees down 3-1 series comeback.

:|

You kinda just switched up your arguement there.. First you said "Lebron has to be good enough to get there first", in which I commented that not him, but his team needs to get "good enough". So first it was Lebron not being good enough, but now it's "I don't care if he was MVP, he can't do it by himself", which is basically what I said in the first place.

And now you by saying that MJ truly made his supporting cast better, (I don't disagree) that Lebron hasn't done the same for his Cavs? Come on man..

...and no lebron hasnt done the same for the cavs, otherwise ilgauskas would have had more than 2 points today...and west and williams only score cuz lebron gets double teamed and someone needs to get passed to thats open.

ahhh it doesnt matter cuz mr. mvp himself lasted a whole 45 minutes and went a whole 8 for 20 which equals bye bye cleveland. so no need to really argue, im not even going to bother looking at this thread anymore. i just wanted to come back and give a good  to all the lebron fans.

go magic! (lakers in 5 or 6)

Since you're not going to look at the thread again... You appear to know less about basketball than the average three toed sloth.[/quote:32q44oju]

No kidding. How old are you chisox? You are like the little kid who just has to have the last word I take it? You must be confused, because there is no arguement here. You have not one logical foot to stand on with your sad and blatant hatred towards the best player in the game. Does Lebron owe you money or something? Meh. Doesn't matter, you already took your ball and ran home anyway...

Really looking forward to the Howard/Gasol match up. I hope Howard exposes Gasol as the soft punk that he is.
He made Ben Wallace look soft.

Ben Wallace is a shell of his former self.
He's still fairly quick, I guess compared to Z a rock is quick though...Problem for the Lakers is Gasol still isn't quick enough for Howard (still quick but no enough) and he's definately not even close to as strong. Bynum isn't close in either and they don't really have any bigs other than them, I can see Mbenga coming in to rack up some fouls though. I don't see who is going to stop Lewis/Turk because sure Odom can guard one but who's going to get the other, kind of the same problem Cleveland had because LeBron could guard one but nobody else could guard the other guy, maybe Kobe? But he's too short to effect a jump shot at all from either of them.

If Ariza can guard Carmelo, who is much better than Hedo/Rashard he can guard either. Plus Kobe will not be guarding Billups. Meaning Kobe/Ariza/Odom will have the duty of hedo/rashard. I like our chances. Kobe will tear apart whoever guards him on the magic, kind of like Lebron did. Also how is Kobe too short? He is 6'7 and has a very strong vertical leap. Pretty sure he can out jump Rashard or Hedo any day.

6'6'', Lewis and Turk at 6'11''...and I completely forgot about Ariza, but I think Melo being hurt had more to do with it, either way I still see the Lakers winning becasue the Magic will have to stay red hot and the Lakers offense is so much better than the Cavs is.

Back when DH12 was about 200LBs and he just stood there, if he went up then DAMN, but it's basically like what Nate Robinson did in the Slam Dunk Contest.

Pretty sure he an out jump Rashard or Hedo any day.

That's really not THAT impressive considering the car is going like 30...[/quote:hc168s2e]

Back when DH12 was about 200LBs and he just stood there, if he went up then DAMN, but it's basically like what Nate Robinson did in the Slam Dunk Contest.[/quote:hc168s2e]

I hope Rashard Lewis guards Kobe, that's all a Laker fan can hope for. Hedo would be good too, since he is slow as heck.[/quote:hc168s2e]
Pietrus will guard him, he's quick, long and has endless energy.[/quote:hc168s2e]

He did a good job on Lebron.[/quote:hc168s2e]
I thought so, even though he scored 40 a game, half of those were on FT's that you can't do anything about considering every time he drives it's a foul...

My favorite part of the Magic/Cavs finale was when Marv Albert asked if the Cavs were on the verge of losing because of the play of Orlando, or because LeBron had just wasn't playing 100%. How about you give some credit where it's due? It's a team game.

That was your favorite part? Me thinks you dwell too much on Lebron.

I was being sarcastic of course. It wasn't meant to be another whining post regarding LeBron, but more of how Orlando is being underrated and overlooked.

Oh ok. I agree, Orlando is being overrated.
