Pick up this little Golden nugget for about $33 due to a badly worded title on eBay. Thought it was a great steal at that price.

Wow, - $33? I'd say you did quite well on that pick-up! You keeping or flipping?

Haven't really decided yet. May grade it and flip it.

Here is the listing: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... K:MEWNX:IT

On a side note, the seller did charge $7 for s/h, but I am having a tough time deciding if I should leave him 1-star or not.

You knew the S&H fees were going to be high before you bid on it correct? But you went and bid and won it knowing those fees were going to be $7.. now you want to leave a 1 even though you knew what the fees were going to be..

::facepalm::

Great pickup though.. even with the $7 fee..

Sure, its not like I am not leaving him a positive overall feedback. However, for the ratings - the question asks:

How reasonable were the shipping and handling charges?

I would certainly leave that as 1-star, as they were very unreasonable, even knowing that I would have to pay if I won the auction.

By giving the seller 5-stars for that shipping price, you are only going to reinforce his/her behavior to vastly overcharge on shipping. As long as the shipping price was closer to $2-$3, the seller deserves that rating. The ratings are there to review upon how you feel the seller did in providing good service at a reasonable (or in this case, not so reasonable) price.

Another thread about shipping charges and people paying then wanting to complain about them. Sweet!

Nice card though.

Nice pickup.

When something is auction style, I don't mind high shipping charges at all. Tends to keep people away. I won a Colston a little while back for .99 + $10 shipping. At the time, the card was selling for $30-35. So $10.99 dlvd was just peachy with me.

I got no problem paying $7 for s/h if the seller actually spends $7 to ship me the item. This was not the case, as it was sent regular mail, with DC. You can't even argue he charged me for the one-touch, because the listing says its free. So, I will ding a seller who just tries to get a few extra bucks on s/h charges from a sale.

No complaint was posted; only an observation.

Nice steal. Been a while since I've unearthed treasure for cheap on eBay.
