Been almost a month since the Saberhagen signing. I am going to my next one tomorrow.

Nate Prosser, Jason Zucker, and Tom Reid.

I really hope they distribute 5x7 photos because I made the mistake of forgetting to pay for my card for Tom Reid to sign, and Jason Zucker has no cards/photos.

I also added a couple signings to my calendar. 2 of the actresses from "Little House on the Prairie" will be doing an autograph signing in about a month.

Results coming tomorrow night of what I got.

Wow, it's been awhile since I updated the thread. Anyways, I'll be using this for 2013, but I need to update it.

Last week: Anthony Bass (former Vikings safety) - 1/1 - Piece of paper
This morning: Jordan Smith (Indians prospect) - 2/1 - cards. I only brought one, but they gave me one when I arrived. Nice to get those done for the PC.

Man I hope so. Makes these in person/ttm threads a million times better when pictures are shown, not matter how small.

What cards did you get Smith on?

One was last year's MiLB team issue. I don't know what the other one was. Possibly this year's team card, but it's really early to have that in hand.

Caravan!

Kyle Gibson 1/1 - Heritage
Aaron Hicks 1/1 - Heritage
Liam Hendriks 1/1 -A&G RC
Tony Oliva 1/1 - '68 Topps AS
Rod Carew 1/1 - Photocard

I was told, I read, and I overheard that Carew wasn't going to sign. They announced that he would only sign his photocard, but people were sneaking some cheaper stuff through. I had a 1970 Topps on me but he handed me a photocard before I could ask if he would sign it.

Probably post pics sometime this weekend.

What a day... a full write up on this tomorrow during the game.

Jack Morris: 1/1 16x20 w/JSA cert
Jeff Reardon: 1/1 SS OMLB w/JSA cert
Frank Viola: 1/1 SS OMLB w/JSA cert
Zach Parise: 1/1 puck
Josh Harding: 1/1 8x10

I missed Clayton Stoner, and another Wild player. I didn't expect them to come, so I didn't prepare. I talked to another grapher at the event and he was just as stunned as I was...

Alright, here's my writeup. It's going to be a wall of text, but some people are interested... I think. Pics will be added later today.

Anyways, Monday was my birthday. Last year, we went and met Michael Oher. This year, there was tons of people on the schedule.

First up was a signing with 3 Twins greats. I am working on a major OMLB collection, and I didn't have 2 of the guys.

Frank Viola and Jeff Reardon were up fist. I'd never met either of them. Going to signings is fun, but seeing guys that actually enjoy being there is a different thing. Each of them were crazy talkative and loved seeing the fans. I got each of them on baseballs. One free inscription was allowed. I really wanted an '87 WS MVP from Viola to go with my previous one from Morris. I didn't have anything for Reardon, so I just asked him to inscribe 87 WS Champs.

Next up was Jack Morris. I had a 16x20 for him. Got it signed with the "91 WS MVP" inscription. I had all 3 authenticated on site by JSA. It was $6 an item.

I wasn't too sure about this next one, but I decided to try anyways since we had time. The Minnesota Wild had partnered with a charity, and an outdoors store. The idea for the charity event was that they were going to bring in a player, have him donate to the charity, and then "meet" the fans. Nothing was said about autographs, but I figured I would try.

Upon arriving, I listened to the rep for the Wild tell some of the organizers that autographs would not be allowed. They were anticipating a large crowd and wanted to make sure the player got through to meet everyone. Well, as it happened, only 5 people showed (not including the organizers, their kids/kid's friends/news crew).

The guest of honor was Zach Parise. He brought along Clayton Stoner and another member of the Wild. I chatted with another grapher, and he was a dumbfounded as I was at the fact that a total of 3 players showed.

Long story short, I got Parise on my puck. I wish I was expecting Stoner and the other dude because I would have brought something for them. I would have ran to the car and got my psych notebook (make cuts later I guess), BUT, I had to attend signing #3. I felt bad that I had to leave before donating to the charity, since that was the idea for the event, but I had to leave. I think I will contact the organization and ask them if I can donate a few dollars.

Next up, Josh Harding. The Wild netminder.

He was signing at a fan store (as in, sports fan). You had to buy a ticket to attend the event. Because I squeezed Parise in there, I didn't get a ticket to this signing. The employees of the store were very nice and allowed me to pay the fee and get my photo signed. They asked "Are you a first timer here?" I said "Yeah." That's the type of thing that isn't in autographing anymore. Most places would say, "Sorry bro."

Anyways, Harding signed my 8x10

One LAST game at the Metrodome for me... Never again will I sit in those blue stands, for anything. Anyways, the Longhorns were in town for the first time ever.

Augie Garrido - 1/1 - A&G
Parker French - 2/2 UD 3xgu, UD
Corey Knebel - 4/4 2 Sterling GU 2 Topps

Erich Weiss - 0/4 I asked him too late. He said "after the game" but left before I could get him.
CJ Hinojosa - 0/2 Didn't get an opportunity to ask.

The one, the only, Neal Broten.

Always fun to see the old North Stars guys. They always bring out interesting conversations amongst the crowd.

Neal had his 1980 Medal with him, as he does a lot.

Anyways, I got 4/4

1 card for someone else, then 1 1990 Stadium Club, 1 1990 Score, and 1 Promo 8x10

Blair Walsh - Vikings Pro Bowl placekicker.

Had fun seeing this guy. I brought my mini helmet. They didn't have any form of silver marker, so I settled for black right on the horn of the helmet. I asked him to inscribe "Pro Bowl 2013" on it. He said "I LOVE writing that!"

It was cool. I don't think too many NFL kickers get that kind of love. I also got a promo 8x10.

Last one of the week is tonight. Brad Radke.

Didn't get around to posting it, but I got Brad Radke last week, 2/2 on a ticket stub and promo

I'm planning my summer graphing season. It's usually pretty dormant, but I already have these guys lined up:

Tim Laudner
Bert Blyleven
Greg Gagne
Al Newman

I'm also waiting word on a couple autograph signings. Twins night at the ballpark, Minnesota Wild Road Trip, and a couple others. Should be pretty busy, and fun!
