So I thought this would be fun. I know there may some arguing between members but let's try and make this civilized. Name the ONE player (past or present) that is/was that teams player. Sort of like when you think of that team this ONE person IS that team. We'll keep it to todays teams but I may forget a franchise moving from place to place.

I am going to fill in some no brainers (some of which I will forget) and let the arguments begin. Once opinions are made I'll fill in the other teams. So let the arguments begin.

Vlad Guerrero for the Angels? No love for Erstad, Salmon, or Chuck Finley? Any of those three over Vladdy easy. Probably Garret Anderson too

im not downing nolan ryan because he owns the team now and he will put a stamp on several world series but i thought you could put ivan pudge rodriguez for the rangers. he will be a 1st ballot hofer and i think since he started with the rangers that it would be a wize choice but hey, you cant go wrong with the ryan express.

Texas Rangers - Nolan Ryan. Pudge was and still is very popular here but Ryan has Tom Landry like appeal. They like him and they respect him. They name schools and their children after him.

LA Angels - Chuck Finley or Tim Salmon. Vlad will always be considered an Expo to me. Nolan had his best years there but he went into the HOF as a Ranger. Carew had some good years there but is a Twin and people have forgotten how good Jim Fregosi or Bobby Grich were.

I can appreciate you guys are true fans but there is no way Cobb is not the Tigers. Any time you play that long for a team and are that utterly dominating/game changing you have got to get the nod. Kaline was fantastic, though.

Rangers - Nolan Ryan...NO!! He only player 4 seasons in Texas. It would have to be Pudge or Juan Gonzalez.

Red Sox - Ted Williams

anytime you garner the nickname of mr. (insert team name here), you are undoubtedly the franchise's icon...as a result, i am going to have to go with tim salmon. in addition, to samhell's point, the angels have had a number of under appreciated stars over the years; fregosi, tanana, grich, downing, finley, langston, garret, percival, etc.
