morning everyone... day #2 on the MT... its friday whoo hoo TGIF the boy had a game last night (he's 13 pitching with the American Legion team here locally) his thrid game pitching, they are using him as a closer right now but he is a starter with his 13U travel team... came in with a 9-5 lead with one out, faced his minimum 2 batters, batter 1 pop out to ss batter 2 struckout swinging. and for those who may think its because 16yr olds are used to seeing 80 mph for a fastball they are still seeing a 80 mph fastball... whoo pow... anyway, like to brag on my kid when i can.
hope everyone has a swell weekend... and remember the purpose of Memorial Day is not to go boating, eat hamburgers and hot dogs, and drink to much beer, its a reminder for us to thank our veterans for the freedoms we have ( which sadly, are slowly eroding away) HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND :grouphug:

Andrew- Congrats on the A! I bet that was a great feeling. How many math classes do you still need to take? Didn't you say you need to take one next semester as well?

bowman- Welcome and good morning. Sounds like your son is a good pitcher. Nothing wrong with bragging. ;) Nice reminder on Memorial Day.

Bowman - Welcome to the MT again 8-) Congrats on your boy and the pitching. Enjoy the reasons to celebrate Monday...its all about the freedom around here which I know we can't forget about

Thanks, Joe. Yesssss. :( I am supposed to take one more next semester. Then, my way will be clear to eventually (around the age of 45!) transfer to Cal State and hopefully get a degree in American Lit. That is the plan, anyway. Also have to raise my GPA here at GWC to even get accepted at Cal State. So, next semester I will take one final math class and two English courses to pad the ol' GPA. Might also squeeze in an online history course, too.

Only class that I am concerned about is the math one. The English will be easy A's for me, if I say so myself! 8-)

Joe, my supply of "final warnings" is getting low, but I will use one on you. :|

My latest pickups:
Favorite of my kidhood. I think this is his only gu card ever made. Loved seeing him play for the Astros and the Dodgers in the 70's.

Medal of Honor recipient auto! (a little smeared, but that is okay)

Then a coupla Jerry West cards:

Andrew- Sweet pick ups! The Col. Roberts auto is fantastic! Congrats on some great cards.

Good luck with next semester, we'll all be here for you. I'm sure that you'll get another A. ;) Now you need to pass along your study ethic to your students.

Andrew - Just remember...I have NEVER spoken a word about your working scanner. Does that void my last chance?? VERY nice pickups as of late too dude

Your non-mention of the scanner would have given you an additional chance, but that crack to Joe about dictionary pages, just cemented the warning. :geek:

You can tell it's Friday. Everyone is on a roll today.

I suppose you want me to write this 500 times by Monday:
Andrew is cool. His scanner is incredible and I wish I had one just like it. His is my math superior and Einstein could have learned a few things from him.

Alex- At this rate, In MT Suspension might be on the way.

Detention, maybe. But I won't be the poor shlub having to babysit the two of you. Sounds like a job for Dan (or George).

By the way, Joe, you made an error in your original statement above. It should read "He is my math superior", not "His". Rewrite 500 more times.

I used to like you, Art.

Anyway, do you have the CD Rom that came with Post Cereals a few years ago with Piazza on it? Found one and it is yours if you want it.

Nice pickups, Andrew!

bowmanchrome- welcome to MT Day 2 :D Sounds awesome about your son. I coach my 6 yr olds' baseball squad, as well as my 3 yr olds' t-ball team. Believe me, I know the feeling of pride when you watch them do something great! Brag away ;)
