This. There is a reason cases and cases are listed every day.

Which could be a good thing. Less opened = Less competition... maybe? Depending on how Topps handles this redemption.

It seems the black border cards are not chrome which is bad. I did some more crooked math and if my numbers are anywhere remotely near accurate there will be over 1000 black border cards of each player. The black borders will likely be prone to chipping and such.

Is it just me or does it sound like we will be getting parallels of those who were in 2010 Bowman and not 2010 Bowman Chrome...

This is what it looks like. There were 110 Prospect cards in 2010 Bowman.

How much will a 2010 #BP1 Stephen Strasburg Black sell for?

Has Topps directly, or indirectly commented yet on those who are questioning what they should do if they already broke and threw out the wrappers before the announcment? Obviously, by the implied rules of the redemption, they are simply out of luck. But ignoring those who are looking for answers is akin to saying 'Too bad'. And even if that is the final stance, I'd rather Topps come forward and say 'we simply can not honor any requests for redemptions without said wrappers because there is no way we can assure said wrappers are not being returned by someone else. This is not to say we think some would lie/cheat, but we can not rule out the possibility and the only way to be sure that the integrity of this promotion stays intact is to only honor those who have saved and will send in the wrappers. In the future, perhaps it will be best to save them just incase we decide to do another unplanned wrapper redemption.'

Point being, saying nothing = Topps does not care enough about there customers to even dignify the questioning. And anything they say, even the painful truth, would be better than a silent F.U. And if somehow they can formulate a managable way to accomidate those who discarted early, then even better!

I don't know if you guys saw my post somewhere on these wrappers but I retrieved my 17 boxes worth of them from my LCS dumpster after they sat at the bottom for a few days and they have some extra stank on them and I sent them to Topps 'as is' w/ a note saying they smelled a lot better before I threw them away because I didn't know I needed to save them last Wednesday!

So, why is it that Topps is giving away cards of players from 2010 Bowman Baseball in a redemption for 2010 Bowman Chrome.

I was looking forward to a Black of one of my guys but he wasn't in 2010 Bowman. I wonder how much the Stephen Strasburg Black will sell for. Will it still be considered his first card?

Topps announces for every 18 wrappers (HOBBY ONLY) of 2010 Bowman Chrome Baseball sent to the company, collectors will receive an exclusive 5-card pack of exclusive BLACK-BORDERED PARALLELS of 2010 BOWMAN BASEBALL cards . All 110 prospect subjects from 2010 Bowman Baseball will be included.

So, will it be...

#1-110 from 2010 BOWMAN BASEBALL

...or...

#111-220 from 2010 BOWMAN CHROME BASEBALL

I believe it's the 110 prospects from Bowman Baseball. I hope so anyway. It was a much stronger checklist.

It did say Bowman. One would logically assume it was 1-110.

I'm sure the Topps factory workers at the warehouse that tally all the wrappers will appreciate that.

I'm shocked that people aren't flipping out at Topps. These ass clowns couldn't find their own heads if they didn't crap it out every morning with a bowl of Raisin Bran.

Good grief, people are so quick to crucify other companies when not all of the cards show up immediately (Razor anyone?), and then Topps pukes out these last ditch promotional efforts based on nothing more than lies to sell product and people gobble it up.

The addition of Strasburg to A&G created a huge surge in sales...all crap.

The fact that Strasburg wouldn't be an SP autograph...all crap.

The fact that these were indeed packed out...all crap.

T206 cards in the Million Card Giveaway...all two of them.

The fact that the Million Card Giveaway cards were from their vault...yeah, ok.

All of the above was confirmed by the mythical "Topps rep" - who as far as I am concerned was nothing more than the missing card in the 2010 Allen & Ginter "Creature of Myth and Douchebaggery" or whatever that set was called.

"Oh, but at least they're taking care of it"...really? Are they? Or are they just dangling the carrot, spitting on it and shoving it up the hobby's collective asses to entertain you enough before you get screwed again? Smile, you're going to like it.

It's comical.

These redemptions for the packs end in March...so hurry kids and open those packs and send them off. We have to make sure our distributors can move this product (even at a possible loss) just to get enough capital back to buy more product.

It's nothing but a well-funded check kiting scheme, and we see how well that worked for Upper Deck. "Here morons, a Mystery Cuts redemption card" meanwhile, we'll finagle a way to be able to buy and build the cuts within the next 18 months.

/Overly dramatic
