Wow, didn't watch any of the game. Is Craig Anderson again carrying the Avs. Guy has been hands down best goalie in NHL OVER THE PAST YEAR. Was my MVP last year.

Looked like Orr didn't want any part of Boogaard. Smart move by him. They will go next time they play. Couldn't believe Colby Armstrong just pussying out with Avery. Keep those gloves cemented on Colby. Nice to see Godard and Gillies go in a decent fight.

Tough loss for the Isles. ive been impressed with Bailey so far this young season.

always nice to see the rangers lose. Gaborik is out for a few weeks and Drury re-broke the same finger and will be out 4-6 weeks

Rangers were dropping like flys. Only good thing was Boogaard and Prust were getting some ice time. Boogie Man got an assist I believe.

Was also surprised to see the Pens wearing baby blue jerseys again. I thought they had ditched them this year. That they would do what Bruins did last year. Wear new retro style jersey at Winter Classic, then keep it as third look the rest of season.

Anderson will likely carry the Avs again all season. However, when they have Chris Stewart and Statsny scoring goals constantly, they are a pretty good team. Brodeur has looked "off" so far this season from what I can tell.

Hawks looked good tonight, I especially enjoyed Stalberg's breakaway goal early. Turco got his first win of the year!

Kings beat the Canucks 4-1 and with that another full night of watching NHL Center Ice is over for me.

Kris Letang was given a 5 minute Major for an Illegal Hit to the Head in last night's game against the Islanders. he also received a Game Misconduct and if the NHL does what the new rule states he is supposed to receive an automatic suspension. I hope the NHL looks at the video and realizes the refs blew the call and Letang does not receive a suspension.

in case anyone hasn't seen the Letang hit on Blake Comeau...

That was a bs call. Now NHL wants to penalize nice clean hard hitting open ice checks.

Yeah, loving free preview of center ice. Pens-Philly game should have some good fireworks I hope and not a snoozer like opening night was. Also looking forward to Boston-NJ and Cal-Edm tonight.

Stars put Fabian Brunnstrom on waivers. Talk about a bust.

it sure was a bs call. it was clearly a shoulder to shoulder hit. Comeau assisted on both Isles goals and was named the #2 Star as well.

I am hoping for a much more exciting game as well from the Pens and Flyers. Boston NJ should be a great game as should Buffalo Chicago and Detroit Phoenix.

I will say, it was not the correct call, but you still have to look at it the way the refs see it. They don't have the replays we do, where we know what we're looking for the second time around. I can understand how it was called that on first glance, seeing Comeau's helmet go flying and him going down (whether he was faking it is another story). These are going to be tough ones we see all season I think.

With that said, hopefully the NHL will at least review it and do the right thing and NOT suspend Letang.

I definitely understand why the call was made but it still makes me angry and like we both said I hope the NHL does the right thing and does not suspend him. the Pens play today at 6 and there hasn't been any mention of a disciplinary hearing so I would imagine they have already decided not to take any further action.

There needs to be a 3rd/4th ref in the booth to review stuff on the fly. Does no good having them in TO.

on the other hand Matt Cooke took 3 Goalie Interference penalties last night and deserved all 3 of them. I guess he was trying to get inside Dipietro's head but once was enough. 2 of them came in the 3rd Period. the other odd thing was the Isles were not going after Cooke when he was blatantly targeting Dipietro.
