I am a big Matt Cooke fan and I love the energy he brings but there was no need to take the 2nd or 3rd interference penalty.

I like Cooke as well and my main team is the Bruins. It was a dirty hit on Savard. I do give him credit though when Pens came to Boston. He did fight Thornton and didn't try hiding or turtle in that fight. Bruins are the one's who still should be ashamed at how little they did to pay back Cooke. Besides Thornton no one else went after him.

NHL needs more guys who play on edge and stir things up like Avery, Carcillo, Cooke, Ott types. Do people want more viser wearin Euro softies skating around in skirts? League is loaded with those no personality boring players.

Brent Johnson will get his 2nd straight start in goal for the Pens today.

Whar deal on MAF? Are Pens starting to get tired of him letting in the soft goals. I was thinking this would be a big year for him.

The Stars are going for 4 in a row. They didn't have a three game win streak all last season.

he has certainly had a tough start. 0-3 so far. he has a great record in Philadelphia and I really thought he would get the start. I think the fact that the Pens have had such a rough start they figure they will go with the hot goalie (although I really don't think Johnson played that well last night but he did get the win). Fleury will get rolling again soon and this will be a non-issue.

I'm looking forward to the Pens/Flyers game tonight.

me too :D

there are 12 games tonight. I will try to watch all of them on NHL Center Ice.

other than the Pens game, im also very interested in watching the Flames/Oilers game on CBC Hockey Night In Canada tonight!! The "Battle of Alberta" has been kinda slow the last couple of years, but with all the new Oilers Young Guns in their line-up, im very interested to see them play tonight against my home town team.

Oh and BTW just last night i secured tickets to my first NHL game of the year :D . Im going to the Calgary/Edmonton game on Oct. 26th in Calgary and not only my first game of the year but it will also be my first time seeing Taylor Hall and Magnus Paajarvi play live, in person. Ive seen Jordan Eberle live many times in the WHL, but am also excited to see him for the first time as an NHLer. Can't Wait!!! :D

i agree, Fleury will be just fine and its only been a few games still. Give him a rest to clear his mind and relax a bit.

If you can't read it, my bets are Calgary over Edmonton, Phoenix over Detroit, Washington over Nashville, Chicago over Buffalo, Minny over Columbus, Dallas over St Loius. $5 bet and i can win $177.

My second ticket is a mixture of NHL, NLCS Baseball, NFL and CFL Football.....

This is my "Homer" ticket for the week as i picked 3 of my favorite sports teams on it. Calgary over Edmonton in NHL, San Fran over Philly in the NLCS, the Raiders over San Fran in NFL Football tomorrow and then two CFL games i picked are Edmonton Eskimos over BC Lions tonight and the Calgary Stampeders over Saskatchewan Rough Riders tomorrow.

$5 bet again and i can win $553. Just makes watching the games a bit more interesting ;)

I was too late to bet on some of the earlier games like Pittsburgh/Philly.

Wish Me Luck!!! ;)

So do you got beat spread or just pick winner on those G$

No spread, just straight up winner. Football has to be a win of 4 or more points. 3 points in Football is considered a "Tie" and you can bet on ties as well in football. Hockey and Baseball is just straight up winner even if it goes to extra innings or OT/Shout Out in Hockey.

No CI preview here, at least on Shaw in Calgary

Yeah that sucks. Shaw does have that new Sportsnet Flames channel though. Gonna show a ton of Flames games on there and you get it free if you have the regular Sportsnet channel and the digital box.
