Andrew - Will do...I ALWAYS enjoy meeting a fellow MTer :D As for Metallica I could talk for weeks!!! I have seen them live 5 times and met them once. Last years concert I looted a concert used guitar pick from Rob (new base player from Suicidal Tenencies) and a HUGE beach ball. I was surfing ebay after that show...the picks were selling for about $50 and the beach balls were selling for $100+ :o I still have the beach ball blown up and chilling in the PC room and still have the pick in a top loader for showing...those will NEVER part away from me

Steve - Morning dude!!! How are classes this year?? Any new PC pickups on your end?? You always have sweet stuff you add into there ;)

Dave - Beautiful man!!! You make us all look like studs  Can't wait to start the pen sessions either ;)

Morning all,

Being a West Coaster, I always seem to check in late! Heck, it's only 7:30 here and you guys are on page 5!

Anyway, another odd day at work ahead. Had my first strange comment by a student yesterday:

Confused-looking student: "What if I don't do my homework?"
Me: "You will fail the course."
C-L Student: "The whole thing?"
Me: "Pretty much."
::facepalm::

I have to keep a notebook this semester of this stuff.

I had a similar exchange yesterday:
Me: "Where's your homework?"
Student looking frantically through folder: "I'm not sure. It should be at home."
Me: "Where should it be?"
Student: "At home."
Me: "No, where SHOULD it be?"
Student: (three second pause) "Oh, here."

In 7th grade, they don't understand that the last step of doing your homework is bringing it to class.

Going good, but about to get really busy, won't have much MT time soon. Nothing really pc added lately, a big unit button, musial barrel slice auto (you might have seen the burbank thread, and a abs. jumbo mccovey jsy. Those were my first pickups in a dry few months. How goes things on your end, how did the wine trip turn out?

...my freshman son is notorious for doing his homework and forgetting to put it in his binder to bring to school. He is very smart but goes a mile a minute.......

Morning Gents...Thought I'd introduce myself since I'm relatively new here. My name is Nick and I'm from Memphis, TN. Been a member on a few other boards, but none of them seem quite as nice or inviting as this one. I'm looking forward to becoming an active member on here. Hope everyone out there has a good day!

Yikes...good luck with that. The MT will always be here...looks like throughout the full day these days so pop in when you can :D I am JEALOUS of the big unit button...what jersey is he wearing on the card?? Sorry about the whole Burbank fiasco...guess they don't like repeat business or word of mouth because I have only heard not so great stuff from there end. Wine trip was pretty good...we ended up going to 5 different wineries and we all had a great time 8-)

Welcome,
Did you bring any ribs from Blues City Cafe per chance? I'm gonna set up a trade bucket and trade for ribs.

Dave- The set is looking GREAT! I can't wait to have them in hand and start signing them. Whenever you're ready to do the backs, let me know and we'll work some magic. :D

Nick- Welcome aboard! I know I am biased, but this is the best sports card message board I have ever been on. There are so many great people here it is unreal. With only one or two exceptions (me and maybe MattinglyAlexander  just kidding bud), the Morning Thread is a good collection of great board members.

chashawk,
that is the coolest Cubs jersey I've ever seen.
Thanks man! It's a FB style uni that my uncle gave me a couple years ago.
I need to get "Dawson" and "8" put on the back sometime.
