Try being laid off from Nov to Apr :| :?

You can only clean the house so many times in a week.

I think I have successfully scanned all of my Chris Sabo cards that I have in hand. I guess I'll have to create a section in my bucket and start uploading all of them. That may wait for a little while because photobucket can be a pain.

Good morning..

Just went out in the garage to do some laundry.. Well, my washing machine died.. I turned on the water to so I could put some liquid soap in.. and the water just went thru the bottom of the drum.

So I need to go out and get a new one today.. You would think that you could get more than 23 years out of a used washer...(I bought a washer and dryer in 1987 for $50).. The dryer died earlier this year and now the washer..

Like an old couple that have been married for so long, once one goes.. the other one passes soon..

Oh, did I say it has warmed up to 21 degrees..

Hope everyone else's day goes well..

23 years is unreal.. my dryer is only 5 years old and the drum has a big crack in it causing it to eat clothes on almost every use. just had the repair man here the other day and just under $300 all said and done it will be fixed in the next week or so. He also told me this is the 4th LG dryer he's replaced the drum on for the same reason this year..so anyone in the market stay far away from LG.

Since my parents had an old Maytag from when I was a kid.. and these were Hotpoint's.. I figured 20+ years was the norm.. I guess the appliance manufacturers decided they shipped out the quality hoping consumers wouldn't notice..

My washer lasted 5 years before locking up. The dryer has made it 7 so far.

my LG washing machine has a halls sensor that is going out.. another common problem with their products from what I've read online. I was able to turn the drum backwards about 3 or 4 times and it reset it and it's been ok for a while but eventually that won't work anymore and I'll have to replace it.. disappointing for 5 year old units that cost about $1400 together.
