I don't see why he couldn't be in the conversation at the end of the year. He might have less margin for error than some of the other rookies, but it wouldn't be some huge surprise to see him win it.

stanton..no strasburg..no it's the rookie of the year award... not rookie of the 3/4 year award or rookie of the half year award. if there were a rookie of the year for cheap franchises award then stanton and strasburg would be eligible

Is that what you said the year Ryan Braun won it...or Evan Longoria?

all i am saying, and reiterating what john kruk said a couple years back (which i agreed with 100%) is that to me to win ROY you should have at least been on the opening day roster or at least come up wihtin the first couple of weeks

thats not exactly fair, so if a guy comes up and produces more in less time than a guy that has been there all year he shouldnt be illegible to win ROY. its actually more impressive if you ask me

If your stats are compareable to someone who has been up since opening day an you got called up in june you should be in the running.

Mike Leake/Justin Heyward will have the edge if they they continue to produce and there teams stay in contention.Producing in a pennent race will really help them.

Jason Heyward is right up there with Justin Heyward IMO.

hes already got the nobel peace prize clinched, my guess is he will not only (obviously) win the ROY, but change it to the Strasburg award.
