No, it means the "Prize cards" will be shipped at Topps expense via certified method of delivery. Now, nowhere do I see a list of "prize baseball cards (there are 2000 of them), but I would imagine a 1998 Topps Frank Thomas isn't going to cut it, whereas a 54 Hank Aaron probably will. I have requested a list of them, but I am not too optimistic that I will receive one. I will post it if I do!

There are no buy backs, but rather cards they already have in their possession. It makes sense to me. I'd imagine they kept several copies of everything they ever produced.

Yeah, I would imagine they would be in phenomenal shape. However, I did just see right on the main site page they say "these cards are originals. We bought back the originals cards!" - but in the official rules they say they are all originals from the Topps Vault, so I guess they bought some stuff back and put it in the vault. Would have been cool if they had uncut sheets from 1952 that the diced up and released for this! haha.

NOT the case. I worked at Topps for almost two years, and they do not have even close to every card that they have produced, much less multiple copies.

These are buybacks.

That is true, I went through many of those albums that had cards glued in them. I certainly noticed that most of the cards of value, and many of little value, were no longer there. And those that were there were SERIOUSLY glued, so much so that you guys would be pissed receiving them for this promotion.

Yes, I had posted later that I noticed on the main page they say they are buybacks. I also just read an article in the NY times that details out how Topps bought large quantities from several dealers, even talking to one of the dealers in FL that they bought a bunch off of.

So condition will probably not be so hot on these vintage cards.
