Guys, if you have the means to do so, please video tape yourself opening the bubble mailers.

Yep, guy seemed ready to defend himself and then stopped posting.

Some of you guys throwing around the insults about these guys reacting the way they are, i'm pretty sure if it was your money, you'd be a little nervous as well...

Can you please forward it to me? We agreed on express shipping so I will know if I've been ripped off tomorrow. I seriously doubt we will hear from him again because I cannot think of a rationale for his actions other than to steal money.

Actually, I pointed out that a thread shouldnt have been the first step. To be honest, this thread could be more damaging than anything else since it makes guys avoid the boards all together.

Would I have been suspicious? Hell yes but I think giving us the chance to work on the issue before its public is pretty effective.

This is why there should be a feedback limit on who sends first.

I told him he had to send first and he told me it was sold! He NEVER said anything about having 5 copies of this card.

I hope it all works out for everyone that has money in this, but I am not sure why you would send $600 to someone that just started here and has less than five feedback.

I love the trail people leave on the Internet! I think it is now safe to say this guy is 100% running a scam. I just found he is using a false name. The name with his paypal account is Jackson Hewitt. But I reviewed his past posts and notice he used the photobucket account chiefsfanatic131. A quick google of that name gives us the link to his
Personal collector page wher he made himself a nice little Paul Major Bowman Chrome Gold Refractor.

Other tidbits I have found on the Internet about Paul. He was born in 1981, he worked at the 1st National Bank of Olathe and he has taken the fire fighter's exam.

So, Paul if you are reading this just refund my money and I will quit digging. I found all of this in 10 minutes so it shouldn't be too difficult to track you down.

I paid with my credit card through paypal and disputed it within 10 minutes. I already called the credit union this morning to start the charge back process. I hope you other guys didn't send as a gift.

Dont know the rest of you who stuck up for him.... but I find it hard to believe all 3 are his.... or he is just using the same scan to sell a $600 card to 3 different people. If im spending that much.. Id like to see the card im buying.

I guess for now I will have to live by the following:

Faith=belief without evidence

EDIT: I just checked my paypal and saw that a tracking number is available for the Stras.

Really hope this will end good for everyone.

I received a pm from him this morning with the same claim that he had picked up 4 of these cards and had hit another in the "lunch break" thread. He claimed he didn't want to sell them but he needed money for his car and stated the card would go out with DC today.

I thought this might actually be feasable until I see the picture danimal put up showing the scan he "borrowed" from Ebay. He had claimed in his other posts that "finally got a scan, sure beats taking a picture."

I haven't received any confirmation yet.

As far as Jackson Hewitt, that information was not shown until after I had submitted payment and went back to my account page.
Still I didn't pick up on it as it's not quite as recognizeable as Oscar Meyer or Peter Pan. But it is becoming quite clear that this guy has sold an Ebay scanned card to 3 of us.

Re: I think myself and 2 other just got scammed by thefivemajors

yeah he just PM'ed me the same pic. I have a feeling what we may have here is just his wanting to please people from work or whatever and showing a scan of any stras auto so people wouldn't jump the gun. Not the best thing to do, but coming up with these 5 autos looks good, UNLESS he swiped that photo from who knows where, let the drama continue....
