so... uhmmm... what happens if the op wins his claim? that he filed 10 minutes after the deal was finalized? is he repaying? shipping the card back? what? cause this leaves the seller in a situation of great uncertainty about his product or funds. so now the roles have reversed... also imo its pretty freaking uncool to dig up personal information then post it on the interwebz in a situation because you are paranoid.

Im not a big fan of the OP....just saying.

Yep, guy seemed ready to defend himself and then stopped posting.

Some of you guys throwing around the insults about these guys reacting the way they are, i'm pretty sure if it was your money, you'd be a little nervous as well...

I wouldn't have been.

It hadn't even been a few hours before he posted this.

If people weren't so freaking paranoid about EVERYTHING, maybe this wouldn't have happened.

Even jumping the gun and doing a chargeback TEN minutes later is ridiculous.

Moron.

You're saying the circumstances before the scan would not have made you question the situation?

Seriously?

I would have questioned the situation, yes, but I would have contacted the SELLER directly...not attempted to drag him down and through the mud on the boards.

This was a classic over reaction by the OP.

boomo said:
dont know you, dont know him, but not sure you can take this stand having made 2 bad deals with MODS.

They both received their end. One took long, yes, and the other received but left feedback early (Halonut). Not to mention their status on the boards means absolutely nothing when it comes to a deal.

Nice try though, chief.

wasn't trying anything, just noting you made 2 kind of ugly looking deals.
it is all i would need to see to not deal with you, mods or not.[/quote:1wv70wcp]

And yet, recently you bought $250 worth of stuff from me ;)

Thanks again :D[/quote:1wv70wcp]

lol, you got me.
i dont even remember it.
christ alzheimers sucks :([/quote:1wv70wcp]

Hell, it alright ;)

I'm not worried about it. I had two transactions that took a long time for me to mail out and one person says he wouldn't deal with me again in the future (not that I am missing out anything) and the other jumped the gun on the negative.

**** happens, life happens and they got their cards.

Clint - You bring up a solid point about the OP. I, too, am interested in what he is going to do now.

Its amazing how a topic is created the DAY of a transaction calling someone a scammer cause they where super nervous. Yet cant find 3 seconds to post a response now. Thats nice, drag someone through the mud give out their name post a website with pictures of the dude. But even though they recently checked this topic, they care not to speak.

If you put your ear to this topic you can hear rule #1 cracking.

eh, i was going to stay out of it but since you decided to dismiss it as just simply slow shipping, I cant help but reply. I can live with slow shipping, fact is you lied a couple of times about shipping and you didnt deny it. As you said, you're not missing out on anything, well except telling the whole story.

Yes, yes I did. Yet, it was still the fact that I shipped late and you STILL got your card. Had I continued to lie and then never shipped your card, I could understand. I ****** up, didn't deny it and sent you your card.

And since then, many others have received their card(s) as well.

Thanks for joining in the conversation

you did, after about 8 weeks. Like I said, it doesnt really change the fact you lied, on more than one occasion. I'm also glad you've taken steps to improve your ability to follow through.

No problem, always ready and willing to clear up "misunderstandings"

Hmmm.... looks like some people jumped the gun here. Don't they look stupid now. How many times have you opened a thread that says I have xxxxx for sale. I will scan it if interested. And the thread get hits, posts, interest ect... Nobody ever gets bent out of shape over those threads.

If you put your ear to this topic you can hear rule #1 cracking.

1. Fake name - Jackson Hewitt (I felt like an idiot after seeing who I sent money too)
2. Fake picture originally - from eBay
3. Promised scan last night - no pic until noon today
4. $500 is not chump change

Simple rule if I spend 500 don't lie, use fake names and be deceptive. Had I not made this thread I would have never been notified that the seller was using an eBay scan and passing it off as his own.

I would say a simpler rule would be if you are going to buy from someone with under 100 posts ask some questions. And I dont mean make a topic calling the dude a scammer, talking about his personal life etc. If you dont have $500 to throw around here is an idea, DONT THROW IT AROUND.

I wasn't throwing around $500, I was making a purchase. Thanks for the advise! You're super helpful!

All of these things would have caused great concern for me as well.

Hopefully the seller has alleviated your concerns and you will soon get your Strasburg autograph in the mail.
